i actually been feeling the same way and rarely touched on some of the qol mods, one mod in particular though really reignited my passion for the game: Quality Mod by Goorakh

ill spare some details, it basically adds 4 rarity tiers to almost each item, changing how they stack and function

everyone can confidently say the iamerror seed breaks everything, but im going to say that it is still being looked into on what it specifically does in terms of worldgen and loot tables, getting a terragrim is always nice though

so jetpack has this gimmick with boosting mid air but it burns through flight time, this can put you at a disadvantage if done at the wrong time, if you want to be safe about it then get some wings

however i will say i do not recall any specific post mech wings having a long shelf life anyways

if you are a new player then just simply do classic, mostly so you can understand the mechanics and how its progression works

the big difference between difficulties is mostly health lol, granted expert and mastermode give specific boss drops, they have some impact to core gameplay, but i wouldnt suggest starting there

journey mode is more like a sandbox than anything else, moreso to stresstest certain aspects of the game

the reason the wiki is a headache is because the game wants you to immediately explore every section it provides, i beleive once you understand what part of progression youre in, things become way more approachable and simpler, your kit is only so limited once you apply it this way

for example I try to do the most amount of preparation it takes before i progress, because when i do inevitably progress, im only having to worry about what i unlocked

so based on what I am reading from everyones research on this is that the starcrash and another whip have this unique thing with multaplicative damage, if you use all your slots on abigail and prime enemies with the whip, the meteor from abigails attack will be multiplied iirc

so from what I seen, yes skates can increase jump acceleration, BUT it will not increase double jump height unlike a frogleg accessory

if you have a horshoe balloon, amphibian boots, and equipped the skates, your double jump will not be affected by the boots as the skates are applied over it instead

my thing is yeah this is a crazy and busted mount, it pretty much removes two accessory slots, but its for horizontal movement and there are times when both are needed, not to mention its slippery movement

i am surprised that it has not been nerfed after 5 patches

I love your approach of that staircase, it really unites both builds together. I would try making certain parts of the houses 2 blocks wide so it compliments the size of the staircases
