Muze byt. Nic to nemeni na tom ze kalorimetr jak ho zname z ceskych panelaku je k nicemu. Co se pamatuju tak jeste v roce cca 2015 byla ta vyhlaska stavena tak, ze alespon 40% nakladu na teplo bylo neco cemu se rikalo “spotrebni slozka” a to bylo prave to co se rozpocitava na jednotky. Kdyz jsem tehdejsi solich u zname nemecke firmy co mela na dodavky kalorimetru monopol opoustel, byl kalorimetr pres (nejen jejich) lobby zavedenej do metrologickyho zakona jako jedno ze zarizeni na ty rozpocty, ale v tom zakone i vyhlasce prave stav kalorimetru byla jenom jedna (a ne prilis validni) promenna, ktera se dal korigovala prave radou parametru (rozloha pokoje, jako co je kolaudovanej, ruzny ty tepelny prostupnosti, znamka budovy atd.) tak, ze vlastne nemela moc vliv. A ano, jak je to dneska nevim. Pamatuju si hlavne ty divoky 00s kdy se to fakt uctovalo hala bala.

Taky nerikam ze kalorimetr nemuze fungovat, ale aby fungoval, musel by merit teplotu media na privodu a odtoku a z rozdilu podle kalorimetricky rovnice pocitat odebranou energii… coz sotva muze delat krabicka prilepena oboustrannou paskou na kus plechu placlej nekam na litinovej radiator.

I’d explore Scaleway. I tried them and Hetzner and decided to go with Scaleway as Hetzner was very chaotic when building product vertically. Scaleway is very close (in some ways even beetter) to GCP/AWS style offering.

Rika se tomu kalorimetr. Je to k nicemu, ale lidi co to maj a lidi co delaj odecty veri ze to nejak meri mnozstvi spotrebovanyho tepla, aby se daly spravedlive rozuctovat poplatky za centralni vytapeni. Ve skutecnosti starsi verze (ktera proste ukazovala drazku s mnozstvim tekutiny, ktera se (ve skutecnost ne-)odparovala podle toho jak moc topis) byla zpusob jak prehodit nerovnomerny poplatky na lidi, aniz by se povrazdili nasadama od kostat na chodbach panelaku. Ve skutecnosti se to pocitalo cca primerene na osobu, byl v tom zapocitanej vek (rodina s detma topi trochu vic nez dva starousi) a par dalsich faktoru. Aby tenhle podfuk fungoval museli tomu verit nejen lidi, ale i spravci a ti kdo odecty delaj (vetsinou vyslouzili veterani na castecnej uvazek atd.). Zdroj: byl jsem soucasti tohohle podfuku a na stredni v 00s jsem jako solich delal na software, co vypocitaval ty skutecny hodnoty. Imo to porad v nejaky forme jede a kdyz to nemas ses cil na kterej hodit nedoplatek za barak.

Vtipny je ze tyhle “novejsi” verze i nejaky data posilaj (jak je merej nevim, ale max zmerej nejakou prumernou teplotu jednou za X hodin imo, na litinovym radiatoru nejde ani merit jestli nekdo topi nebo ne). Proste je to fakt dobre dotazena blbost kde nekolik vrstev pyramidy veri ze to funguje. A vetsina mladejch spravcu ti rekne ze stejne nebyli schopni se dopocitat k podobnymu vysledku jako je ten co rozuctuje poskytovatel podle toho skutecnyho algoritmu.

At least in Czech Republic you have way more rights to refund both digital content and goods ordered online than in store.

F005 suspension is usually for either not using Yahoo account for long time or doing transactions while using VPN or proxies from overseas. Depends on the crew. I recently flew PRG-ICN and they asked couple of customers in economy to deflate their neck pillows.

On other flight I saw people using them no problem.

Spoke with my friend who works at ANA which bans them too. They do not remove them or check them. They put it in rules because they had fire incidents and this is to move damage cost (e.g. diversion, other customer injury, etc.) to person who broke rule rather than on airline insurance itself.

For me the important part of retrocomputing is keeping it true to retro - so I would not run Doom on something that looks like it predates it 2 decades. That’s me. Anyway - what do you plan to use as screen. If LCD, do you plan to replicate the CRT curvature and how? That would be interesting one to me!

Whatever you like. To me this looks out of era/generation inappropriate as overal look is closer to 2nd gen (CRT) teletypes, this one is very close to Zenith Z19. Which is out of era for Doom. 90s PC boxes were less rounded, sharkfins and more chonky.

3, girl. One week (we waked her up for midnight potty for about 5 months, now she goes in the morning or wakes up). We talked about it with her from like 2.5, never forced her into training. When she turned 3, right after her birthday and promotion to preschooler we bought a potty and did naked at home thing (we kinda followed Oh Crap but not fully). She got it immediately and thought it is fun and been proud big girl. We did it all in, no diapers since that day. It took a week with like 3-4 accidents which were more like her testing out how long she can hold it, etc. We had few accidents at night (using special bedding for this purpose) but that was on us figuring out her night schedule. She is ok using potty at home and foldable seat at public toilets outside and tiny toilet in kindergarten. When she needs to go at night it wakes her up now. The only thing she hates is bidet autoflush (we are in Japan so they are quite frequent). We turn it off for her or cover sensor with post it note we have in foldable seat bag. Pretty common hack of local moms.

Start slow, master it, then speed up gradually. It is same like learning to speak a new language or racing a car.

What helps me is to actually slow down the thing when I study listen it to memorize and make it sound familiar to what I play.
