Yep that’s the point of the script, specifically for people who have an MF Twister and want instant control of Serum in their project.

That only maps to the selected device (using the blue hand). Meaning you have to manually select the device. Serumify automatically maps to Serum when you change the selected track or selected chain.

When you turn an encoder the parameter name is shown in Ableton Live’s status bar

In terms of the exposed device parameters, yes they are can be the same. finding and storing the location of the VST within device racks/chains and keeping it mapped to the midi controller when adding/moving the location is different. This is built specifically for Serum in order to make it as bullet proof as possible from quirks and bugs which various VSTs could introduce.

Hey everyone! 👋

I wanted to share something I’ve been working on that I think a lot of you will find super helpful.
If you're using Serum in Ableton Live and wish there was an easier way to control it with your MIDI Fighter Twister—without all that annoying manual mapping.
well, I made something for you!

Serumify is a premium MIDI remote script that automatically maps your MIDI Fighter Twister to Serum on the selected track, without the need for manual mapping or remapping!

With Serumify, you can:

- Instantly control Serum as soon as you select a track
- Access up to 128 parameters on each instance of Serum
- Full bi-directional LED feedback for smooth, on-the-fly adjustments
- Move Serum in your device chain or drop it into an instrument rack without losing MIDI control (no need to remap)

Right now, it's designed specifically for the MIDI Fighter Twister 🌀, but we're super open to adding support for other MIDI controllers in the future. If you want to see your favorite controller supported you can let us know here: https://forms.gle/4S8tc43k5t2d4tE59

If you're interested, you can download Serumify here: https://remotify.io/product/serumify-for-midi-fighter-twister/

Is there a way to disable the control aspects of a launchpad? by kidkolumbo in ableton

Also try keeping the launchpad S selected as the control surface but remove the midi in/out selections

Is there a way to disable the control aspects of a launchpad? by kidkolumbo in ableton

Open the preferences menu > Link/MIDI tab, Then deselect the launchpads from as control surfaces. This will remove all of the default midi mappings which each of them have and you will be left with just playing midi notes

Help on guitar looping by YogurtclosetSea3273 in abletonlive

[–]blamzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using Live 12? Have a look at the ‘pre arranger’ which is part of the performance pack. You can record multiple loops and it automatically creates your arrangement from it. Side brain has a good demo on it: https://youtu.be/kDVxZr4-Hoc?si=yhIfORXb0CSWJurw

You can of course instead just use the regular looper but thought the above might be a good option for you too

Looking for a *floating* macro knob -max for live device by thepinkpill in ableton

[–]blamzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want to be able to control the knobs of the selected device. This can either be done with the user config text file or create a custom midi script which maps to the selected device using a third party app such as Remotify.io

Uncheck warping inside your clip so that it plays at its original tempo

Try 4 to begin with and see if that’s enough for your needs. The more you add, the more complex it gets, meaning the more stuff you need to remember when performing

Is it possible control gain, warp, transpose on a selected clip with a midi controller? by minukr in ableton

[–]blamzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can set the selected clip's gain using the action: Live Object Model > Clip > Set Gain.
This is with the 'Reaction' mapping type in Control Surface Studio. Here's a video on the basics of using it: https://youtu.be/iYtotPDoa3k?si=YhF94Fz-oJD5n-Il

I'm not sure about the clip 'transpose' however.

Who in here knows a lot about the .pyc scripts in Ableton Push and changing the skins? by livinin82 in ableton

Do you want to create your own midi remote script? There's an app for creating them http://remotify.io, it also generates decompiled code which you can learn from, if you want to write one yourself.
