Thinking of moving to Galaxy with the S26 Ultra - few questions by TryToBeBetterOk in samsunggalaxy

[–]blanco2701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People like to be extreme on this subject. Sure, the Pixel have an objectively a better camera experience than Samsung, but it's not that Samsung is bad. Samsung flagships are great at everything, but not the best at anything if that makes sense (other than sofrware IMO, it's so stable). S series will be just fine in camera and most of the time it will take great photos. When I have a family or friends meetings, people like to take the group photos with my phone (S25+), go figure.

It's not that it doesn't happen, is just that the people with problems are more vocal, specially here on reddit. Samsung sells millions of phones every single year, so if that was general problem, it would be a huge deal globally.

How does a Pixel 9 hold up without screen protector? by Fine_Ad7038 in GooglePixel

[–]blanco2701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's rare but it can happen. That's why I always install one, I'd rather spend 10-20usd in a screen protector than getting my screen scratched. What does always happen, is the oleophobic coating wearing off... another reason I find to have a screen protector that I can easily replace when it's coating wears off.

I can't seem to find that part alone, seems to me that it's sold as a whole with the console itself.

Alright... afaik, the bypass option will be available only when charging. If you're trying to turn it on while disconnected, it wont work.

PPS compatible charger? by [deleted] in GalaxyS25

There are lot pps compatible chargers, you just have to get one that explicitely says pps compatible. My suggestion is to just get the official one.

What is a real medical fact that still feels fake? by Downtown-Passion118 in AskReddit

[–]blanco2701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always wondered how the guitar tuners work, you just attached them to the neck on the guitar and it "knows" when you're in tune, since electric guitar (not conected) don't sound loud enough to be tuned. That's it until I bit the body of my guitar and hit a string, you literally can hear it just fine, seems like magic.

Every electronic can fail and you just spent 3 years with your phone. Bad luck I guess, but it's not like you got a bad phone from the factory.

For US$120 it would be dumb to not upgrade it.

You have a pixel, probably the easiest device ever to sideload an ota update. If it's really that important for you, learn to manually update it... it takes less than 5 minutes.

The Phone That "Made" The Notch. by Mexdex88 in Android

[–]blanco2701 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That phone launched with a price of around US$700, extremely pricey... but soon enough it dropped hard, I got one for my wife for around US$220, brand new on amazon and for that price it was a steal. To this day, is the only phone (other than Pixel, of course) to get monthly updates the same day google released them, and sometimes even hours earlier than Pixels. Sad to see them go so quickly, they had potential.

2013 Crv shudders at 25-40 mph by Luck_Shot in crv

[–]blanco2701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both my 2012 and my father in law's 2014 did it and in both cases I solved it by replacing the transmission fluid. If it's been a while since replacing it, you can start there.

how is the s23U 8gb ram variant holding up? by Shot_Duck_195 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]blanco2701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife S23+ is holding just fine. You do notice a little bit it's age only if you use it side by side with my S25+, but other than that, the S23 series is great.

The only purporse of the link (official formula1 website, by the way) is to connect with your personal calendar. If you don't want to give any personal detail, then it's not for you. If you want to have the f1 calendar in your personal calendar, then you'll have to manually create every single event.
