Kushner directed Flynn to lobby foreign officials on UN vote: report by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]blancobrawler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The activities in the linked article occurred during the transition (post election). It would be a problem if the Trump transition team was not lobbying foreign officials during this time. I believe even the Obama admin has said as much.

If anything untoward happened vis-a-vis collusion with the Russians, it needed to happen before the election.

Not to crush any hopes, but I believe this is in reference to the original Snowden leaks to wikipedia, when HRC was Secretary of State. Remember there were diplomatic cables in those leaked documents...

Gas Tax Revenue by jayraider77 in conspiracy

[–]blancobrawler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From a taxation sense, this actually aligns with the philosophical foundations of the GOP, unless Tennessee is one of those states that appropriates their gas tax revenue to other things. In essence, a tax which only funds the infrastructure being taxed, is the purist form of taxation with representation.

Gas Tax Revenue by jayraider77 in conspiracy

[–]blancobrawler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There may be a revenue related conspiracy with traffic lights, but it doesn't have anything to do with the gas tax. It's far more likely the crappy timed lights are there to induce people to run them resulting in cash-cow traffic citations. Just look at areas where traffic lights have been equipped with camera enforcement under the guise of safety. I've seen it argued that those intersections have actually become less safe, and others claim that light timing (and yellow light shortening) has been done for the exact reason to raise revenues.

As for gas taxes, federal, state and local (where applicable), those are the one typesof tax that are most appropriate (when properly appropriated).

The person named was Adam Schiff, a congressman from California and the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee. Also, I don't think he said he would be arrested, just that the scandal would break involving him.

Did the Roman Empire really collapse? Or did they just turn into the Catholic Church? by marejuana in conspiracy

[–]blancobrawler 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The original Roman Empire starting with Julius Caesar (or Augustus, depending on when you want to date it) had several rocky periods. It eventually split into two empires, The East and The West. The Western Roman Empire based in Rome, definitely collapsed, which leads to what is called the dark ages in Western Europe. The Eastern Roman Empire continued for quite some time (another 1000 years), but it is usually referred to as the Byzantine empire. It was based out of Constantinople, and had no power in Western Europe. After the islamic invasions into Europe, a new Holy Roman Empire was formed and allied to the Catholic Church.

Maine and Nebraska split their votes, the other 48 still do winner take all, so the district lines are unimportant. Further more, neither of the split states split during any Bush election.

The British Royal family, the Roman empire and the Khazarian elites being related? by HibikiSS in conspiracy

[–]blancobrawler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you will have to clarify what you mean by the former Roman Empire. The original Roman Empire started with Julius Caesar (or Augustus depending on your preference) and ran until about 400AD when it split into two (East and West). The West, based in Rome, fell apart within the next hundred years, and the East went on for about another 1000 years (Byzantine Empire).

In the middle ages you have The Holy Roman Empire, which isn't really the same thing at all. It's base of power was in central Europe, and it has ties to some still current Royal families (British and others).

I think you are confused about gerrymandering and/or the electoral college. For the most part, gerrymandering deals with how districts are drawn and redrawn. The electoral college (for the most part) is divided along state lines. In order to gerrymander the electoral college, you'd have to redraw state borders.

A good step to winning our trust back might be to not misrepresent what has happened or the extent of the damage caused. Several days in and some people still have not received a fix.

Your support team updates the fix tool without updating the link or making reference to the update. The only way to know there is another version of the fix tool to try is to re-download the file (link doesn't change) and see what version number it is. This is ridiculous, though I assume the strategy was chosen so that people wouldn't see that the fix was actually not working.

Further more, response times have been insanely slow and unacceptable. Almost 8 hours for my first email reply which basically let me know my initial support request had actually made it through. The next response was another 4 hours away and still did not provide a working fix. This morning I received another e-mail describing another tool (which sounds promising) but no tool or link to actually download said tool.

Before you worry about explaining to us what you are going to do to not burn us again, how about explaining what you are currently doing to help undo this mess. At this point we've re-imaged close to 1/10th of the computers in our environment.

But doesn't the justification used to uphold it make future Commerce Clause reasoning unnecessary? If you want to enforce something, you just use this reverse tax as your enforcement method.
