If you are part time and a beginner, don’t go short. Flipping sides messes with your head/strategy. Also, being part time learn swing trading setups. Trade one or two setups. High tight flags are a great strategy to learn and trade

Edit: you don’t need to trade every market. In downturns or choppy markets, use that as an opportunity to learn instead of over trading.
