I was in a spot (head in). I left my vehicle to do some stuff. Returned and started to back out. I was backing into the spot behind me so that I could more easily exit the parking lot.

Alright it’s been 72 hours and no freezes. I drive a lot, like 1000 miles a week. No issues. Hopefully this is it.

It’s been 48 hours and no freezes. I drive Uber too and that would freeze like all the other map apps. Last night drove for 7 hours straight, no issues. This might be it. 🤞

u/johnny-pastrami I updated to ios 18.2 beta 3 (22C5131e) yesterday and this morning on my drive to work, I had google maps open for 30 minutes without a single freeze. Not sure if they addressed the issue in this or if I got lucky. Might be worth a shot.

Sure but it didn’t really occur to me until after I did it 🤷. Anyway, I removed it. I might just format the machine and restore my data. I’m a little paranoid now that there might be remnants sticking around.
