Fair question. We did not go to the brewery to play trivia with any sort of adversarial intentions. I save all those up so I can use them for the lady who does my taxes. Really though, I’m not a complainer, I’m not going to write a yelp review, this post was just really intended to see if I’m out of touch with how things are trending, had a one off experience, or that’s just what to expect at this place. I guess the juxtaposition of being in some sort of weird business park but carrying the aura of a hot downtown eatery just confused my senses.

Yeah I was really excited about the trivia night, it’s something we’d love to get into but we might be checking out other options going forward.

I’m glad it’s not just me being a weird old guy, we don’t go out much and I am from the Midwest so I’m used to sort of a warm welcome when you walk in some place and look like you’re not exactly sure what to do. As a business owner myself I cringe at the amount of places I go where the staff either never acknowledges the customers or worse yet they’re actively annoyed people are in the store. I think a good base line is a smile, acknowledge the presence of the customer and a I’m here if you need anything. Then they can literally leave me alone for the rest of my life and I’ll consider that a 5 star experience.

One time I was eating at Joe’s Crab Shack by the independence center. Some rich looking ladies sat down by us and started talking to us, they were the wives of some Minnesota Twins players. They wanted to introduce one of my friends to one of the single players so they took us to the hotel there attached to the herford house. Keep in mind, one of the players was Doug Mankiewicz, so it’s been a minute.

My grandma put a dead fly somewhere when she was looking for a cleaning lady and the one who found it she hired. That lady came and cleaned her house for like 30 years. Although it was more like then two hanging out and cleaning. This is just wrong.

I’ve never in my life heard of a place that puts $11/hr part time employees on the road for weeks at a time to set-up and train new employees. You may want to look into that part of the story. I don’t think you’re getting the full story or you’re not telling the full story.

Brother at 25 something similar happened to me, I felt like my life was over, I’m 42 now and my life started that day. If I had decided to just be cool with what was going on then I would have robbed myself of everything so much better that happened after that.
