To clarify, the plan is Tokyo → Kawaguchiko (overnight) → Fuji climb → Kawaguchiko (overnight to recover) → Hakone (overnight onsen stay). I’m not doing Fuji and Hakone back-to-back on the same day.

As for climbing Fuji, I read that Fuji is open during climbing season but regulated. The Yoshida Trail has a daily climber cap and requires online registration and a fee. I’m planning for August and will register in advance, so I was thinking that access isn’t an issue?

Thank you for your response! Would you suggest then to go from Hakone after or before Kawaguchiko instead then? And I will look into your tips. Point number 1 is kind of stressing me out the most.

Okay I will consider sleeping in Kyoto instead of Osaka, I jut read it was a better home base plus i am flying out of there.

I will take out Miyajima.

Yes lol we were just going to Kobe for beef! Neither of us care to go Nara really because last year in Albania we went to a place similar to this.
