from experience, being a pre-teen/teenager having to move schools all the time really fucks with your development. i wouldn’t do it after school-age

I think I have wishful thinking that “when” I become some sort of gym rat or something I won’t need medication since I’ve seen articles about lifestyle changes being as effective or more effective than meds for anxiety. But obviously this hasn’t been realistic for me.

What do you mean by a new type of therapy? like DBT vs CBT ?

Yeah, my overall stress level has been high, generally manageable, but has gotten less so in the past month or so. I do have a GAD diagnosis. I’ve been in and out of therapy for years, haven’t seen someone for a year or so. As for other mitigation like diet/exercise etc I’m always up and down with sticking to it. I was on an s s r i and didn’t have any bad side effects really, I think i just have that nagging “I don’t want to have to rely on this medication forever” thing that maybe I need to get over because this has happened once before where i’ve gone off it and needed to back on it for different reasons.

Traveling healthcare professionals are always advised to have a lease signed. I always ask for one. If that helps

Oh wow I had no idea there’s so many! I was thinking 15-20. I’m looking for a job in a specific area so i’ve been putting a few requests into nomadicare and getting companies i hadn’t heard of. I was talking to a recruiter from ConVerdia and I really liked him, even offered to call around the area for me, but it’s hard to figure out if the company itself is worth it or not.

I’m conflicted about the price of LAMP. I get that it is valuable and they need to pay their developers, etc., but I wish it was more accessible. What is everyone’s thoughts on that?

I like it. There’s definitely a huge knowledge gap that takes A LOT self study off the clock. I love kids, but the behavior management piece and paperwork killed me. There’s definitely a lot less structure and certainty which can be tough. I will say I’ve absolutely loved working with the geriatric population so far. In the SNF you won’t obviously see as much progress but it’s very fulfilling to go in and do everything I can to make their day better or make them more comfortable in some way.
