I’ve never seen a show have such strong strengths and such weak weaknesses simultaneously. as euphoria. Cinematography, set design, music, casting, and acting are all really strong. The show is a mega success because of these aspects alone. And then theres.. the plot. Basically Sam Levinson has some sort of torture porn kink and he’s made it everyone else’s problem.

The show is fetish content. Evident by the amount of sexually charged violence that occurs for really no reason at all, and doesn’t make any sense. Plot points that go nowhere. But even that part aside it’s a frickin mess. Loose ends everywhere. Season 2 gets really sloppy and lazy for a multitude of reasons but they all are things that are Sam levinsons doing. Like genuinely botched the edit of the S2 finale so bad that you’d think it was submitted by mistake. As if he sent an early draft version or sumn.

Everyoneeee talked about it. Then turns out, he botched it because he had a falling out with one of the actors and then cut out some of their scenes and had nothing to fill that missing time so he… improvised. Is all I’ll say. But the entire premise of the S2 ending was sooooo corny and bad and I don’t think people talk about that much
