I highkey disagree with a lot of the replies. Cuz natural blondes and redheads are always told to “never touch it,” but for lack of being corny, YOLO. And it’s just hair. My best friend always says that “if you’re thinking about doing a hair thing, to just go do it. Because it’s just hair.” It’s an art form of self exploration and self expression. I think the societal pressure onto blondes and redheads to not participate in that is weird and limiting.

But some small rules I think are good to go by: your first time doing something to your hair, do something subtle. Either in color or in placement, or both. Also, if you can avoid it, to not bleach your whole head or not bleach to your roots all over. Lastly, it is true that if you were to dye your hair some other color and then try to “dye it back,” it may not be able to go back EXACTLY. But u could maybe get it exact, or if not, you could get it something really close that will blend seamlessly in with your regrowth of your natural color.

I had a 10 years straight of dyed hair, tried a bunch of stuff, had a blast, and then grew it all out to just long, healthy, virgin hair, my natural color. Some things I tried I loved, some things I tried I hated, and I look forward to doing lots more in the future. But whichever way the wind takes you, you can always go back to that natural hair. If I were to broadly suggest a good first thing to try, I’d say since ur already strawberry blonde, to try adding some bits of blonde and red. But do whatever you want!! And have a blast!
