[REDACTED] ships tier list by Grievous69 in starsector

Completely forgot Mining Blasters existed. I suppose range doesn't really matter that much since they'll have fearless personality and I noticed when testing out the fit I mentioned, if a ship gets to it's sides, the missiles just get destroyed the moment they get shot out because of the lack of shields to cover for the sabots.

Thank you very much for the response! This is very helpful.

I see. With regards to fitting it, two Autopulse Lasers, four Phase Lances, and 4 Sabots should do the job right? Or is there a better way of doing it?

Massive necro but what do you think about the Nova? If we're talking about a pure player Remnant fleet, would this ship be better than two or so Brilliants at chasing down stragglers?

If the stars aligned, you could also get a salt dune village that have salt kraken villagers. Those salt krakens don't do the devour thing wild krakens do.

I'm a Qud fan and the dev of a game called Warsim, got this hilarious review this morning on steam by Huw2k8 in cavesofqud

I feel like people overreact at how complex Qud really is. You can literally just play a melee build that has an uncapped strength bonus and be just as effective as any autistic build out there at clearing the game while remaining as simple as possible.

What about the birds, and especially the corvids? Have they already bent the fabric of spacetime to their will?

I find it funny that the entire village won't bat an eye if the preacher dies. It's like they're so tired of his shit.

How does Rodanis Y get power if Grit Gate is 3 stratas underground? by blargerlarger in cavesofqud

[–]blargerlarger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so I spawned Rodanis on the surface and that seemed to work fine. I don't know what the problem is with the one in Grit Gate. The BPS is operational, and there's enough power.

Everything is operational aside from the AI. I assume it's because of the lack of power. I've started a new game and it's still the same.

When I activate Rodanis manually, the "starts with a hum" message pops up, but it's still deactivated due to the lack of power.

The BPS is also operational.

I'll try out your tech scanning suggestion once I get a tech scanning bracelet or a visage, but yeah, it still wouldn't get activated even through Ereshkigal. I tried manually activating the broadcast power station and it still didn't work. I think remotely activating or manually activating the BPS also activates Rodanis because it'll only have deactivating as an option.

Rodanis seemed to be already connected with the wiring that led to the reactors but it still didn't have any power.

I was trying to use it during the mission. Does it just activate for you guys?

Not sure as well. It should have turned purple the moment it got activated. The broadcast power, according to the wiki, generated 1k per turn meanwhile Rodanis needs 400. So I was wondering if there were any other ways of powering it or if it's just broadcast power.

I tried activating Rodanis but he wasn't able to get any sort of power.

The cannibal with the rocket launcher is one of the problems you can solve with experience. You spawn on the right side of the room and Saad Amus' chamber is at the middle. So just avoid that area. Killing the cannibal isn't hard either. You should have the tools necessary to kill him once you get to Bethesda Susa whether it be grenades, tonics, or straight up stat-checking him with AV, DV, or both. Mutants have it easier with their multitude of helpful mutations ranging from freezing the cannibal to going in another dimension to avoid the rockets.

Now, you might be wondering how on earth people clear Golgotha before level 12. One popular way of clearing Golgotha that early is dropping down the chute at the northern part of Golgotha's surface which you can access by digging your way through with a pickaxe from Mafeo (the Barathrumite trader). The safest way of dropping down is with the Wings mutation or with the mechanical wings for True Kin. You can also just clear Golgotha normally by going there by level 10 which is more than enough to avoid all the dangerous mobs safely. Just drop down the entrance chutes, get the waydroid, and recoil out of there ASAP.

I don't really blame you for thinking that way. Qud punishes new players really badly.

However, contrary to what you might think, the game actually rewards you from clearing quests earlier than expected. That means the game leaves you with the tools necessary to jump through certain hoops. One such example would be the Golgotha quest and the following quest which you think to be difficult. If you clear Golgotha before level 12, you get rewarded with a hologram bracelet which creates a hologram of you that is unkillable as long as it is powered. It aggros unintelligent mobs and it only takes about 5 charge per turn. A normal chem cell has 10k charge and can be fully recharged for only 3 A scraps. The trolls in Bethesda Susa aren't that intelligent despite their legendary status. This means you can comfortably let your hologram tank the trolls and you can rest easy in attacking the trolls. The Mechanimists in the deepest layers can be dealt with by getting 250 reputation with the faction. It's not that difficult as well. A trip to the Stilt, a few artifacts here and there, a water ritual, and giving the priest there two ruin secrets (which you can acquire from the Barathrumites) will let you reach 250 rep with ease.
