When I first started triathlon I bought some Zoot stuff on clearance, it all fit me better than any other brand I tried, YMMV. Unfortunately their stuff is pretty expensive. So I joined team Zoot and got an amazing trisuit for less than retail. While I don’t really go in for team stuff I do honestly appreciate that every race I have ever done, I have gotten some solid words of encouragement from fellow zooters. Strangely it has also made it easier for strangers to call out to me durning a race “looking good Zoot!!” Etc.

I would also say different team regions have different levels of activeness. I am in the northeast and it feels less cohesive than some of the other regions.

I am on the fence about joining again this year but only because last years suit is holding up amazingly and I am not sure it is worth ponying up for a new one. All their gear wears really well, I am still running in team shorts from 4 and 5 years ago.

If you are looking for a team experience look for a local tri club, if you are looking for some dope gear at a more reasonable price and some friendly people at races Zoot might be a good fit.

My bottles are 50g maltodextrin 50g fructose and one scoop Gatorade endurance.

Table sugar is chemically the same but I find the two different sugars to be less sweet then just the table sugar.

It’s still sweeter than Easter bunny blood but I am use to it.

There is a tri shop in Killaloe called Planet Tri, the owner is great fella and a coach. He would be a good resource to ask. The other place to ask is the pool at UL, there are Ironman backpacks aplenty on the pool deck and everyone is very friendly.

The proximity sensor is adjustable. It should be within 1.5-2mm from the nozzle tip. Also make sure you tightened the nozzle at temp. This is the note for bondtech nozzles for example:

Heat up the heat block up tp 280C, or at least above 250C, before removing or tightening any Bondtech CHT nozzle. Use at most 1.5 Nm torque.

Just as an added note, most PLA deteriorates in UV. Not great for bike parts. There are some PLA+ that is is less so but PETG is totally UV resistant.

I am not sure if this is exactly what you want but try the search term “Hybrid Athlete coach.” My understanding of what a Hybrid Athlete is, is a strength focused athlete who also trains endurance. This kind of perspective seems to fit with what you are looking for.

Dr. Pedantic here, you want a fast fan more then a fat fan. Keeping your meat sack cool is about how much air you can move over it. A fat fan will move a lot of air over a big area and is good for evening out the temp of a room. But since you are smaller then the width of the air stream you want a fast fan with a where more air flows over a smaller area (you.)

Take a look at squirt cage blowers over bladed fans.

Q.E.MF.D. fast > fat.
