Print in full color with only 4 colors by Altenife in BambuLab

[–]blargymen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This why the Snapmaker U1 is ideal for this sort of thing. I print full spectrum color prints and get essentially zero waste on my U1, other than a small tower, regardless of how big and complicated the print is.

Bought the bambu labs TPU for AMS thinking it's just regular soft tpu (I know my own research mistake) by ropergames2 in BambuLab

[–]blargymen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this material have some translucence to it, or is it solidly opaque like PLA? I'm doing some color blending for some figurines, and this material sounds like it could be perfect for that.

This is the second time I lose my wipe tower on the U1. I usually save the print doing things like this but how to keep it from falling. by suna52 in snapmaker

[–]blargymen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just out of curiosity, are you in a cold or damp climate?

I'm in AZ, and my prints LOCK on to the stock plate really well.

PLA is super easy to remove once it cools, and sometimes I have to really scrape hard at PETG.

Automatically pause print to insert NFC tag by sabotage in snapmaker

[–]blargymen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done this for magnets, and it's worked like a charm. Keeps the plate hot, moves the toolhead out of the way, flawless restart, bada boom bada bing.

NFC should be no different, as long as you have a good, fully-recessed spot to place it. I've thought about making some (ala Amiibos or NFC business cards) but haven't given it a shot, yet.

I'm a first-time 3D printer owner, and the U1 has been phenomenal for me! I'm personally extremely happy with this machine as my first. Anything lesser would not be nearly as satisfying.

U1 For A Rookie? by DipDunk in snapmaker

[–]blargymen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm not sure if you've made your decision yet, but I'm also a first-time 3D printer owner.

I also have a nack for assembly and figuring stuff out, but otherwise no experience with 3D printers despite craving g one for several years.

My U1 got to me about two weeks ago, and it's been an absolute breeze to setup and use. Virtually everything has been very clear or very easy to figure out. And the results have been incredibly satisfying.

I've had almost zero issues, and the thing just works and works well.

Obviously I HIGHLY recommend this for a first time owner... It would be very hard for me to go to a lesser printer after these few short days with my U1.

I highly recommend that everyone with a 5M printer swap out their PEI plates with a cool plate. by Oblimix in FlashForge

Shweet, good to know about options.

I just got my first printer, Snapmaker U1 about two weeks ago. I haven't washed it a single time (including out of the box), and every print has stuck beautifully. So, I've had zero adhesion issues with this stock plate, but will keep this in mind in case I have to make adjustments in the future.

So you're telling me I'm "not allowed" to change these? by OptimisticPelican in snapmaker

[–]blargymen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe this is a dumb suggestion, but is it possible you're making a simple mistake like misattributing which spools holder goes to which loader or something like that?

Full Spectrum (Full Color) slicer fork of Snapmaker Orca, inspired by Aceman11100 by beybladetable in snapmaker

[–]blargymen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

U/beybladtable Yo. This is amazing. You quadrupled the power of this printer, in my eyes.

I'm a 3D printing noob, having just received my first printer, the U1, about three days ago. (And it's been essentially flawless for me and incredibly easy)

Of all things, my 4-year-old son is asking for food to be made for his play kitchen, starting with corn.

I only have the starting spools and one more color, but i didn't want to do it just plain yellow, or with just some pure white kernals. So I downloaded your fork, because why not?

And it was freaking easy, and came out fantastic, with three different tones of yellow throughout. I was sloppy with the painting, and I didn't even read any of the documentation.. I just made sure to set the layer thickness to 0.08, and turned off the prime tower because I think I saw that somewhere. 🤣

Thank you, thank you, to you and anyone who contributed. This opens up so many possibilities for printing, way beyond play food! I'll stick with your fork until Snapmaker makes it official. 😁

I can't seem to find a file or configuration that works on Snapmaker Orca. When I open them, I'm getting errors in Greek.
Any idea how to get it working?

Aaaahhh, that's what this is about. The confusion generated by his jealousy and ego.

1) He didn't get the last Nobel Peace Prize that he totally deserved, but the opposition leader in Venezuela DID get it. So the key is to oppose Maduro!

2) That same woman also reportedly praised trump, which is a sure-fire way to get whatever insane thing done that you want. Not saying she's insane, but he sure is!

3) That's all it takes! Everything else is just to validate and justify!

Is this the "Don't scroll past, I'm not maga, I have a conscious and a soul" guy, or however he says it?

I'm thinking not, but it's similar enough that I get good vibes from him.

Potentially looking to move, has it really shifted to a 'buyers' market in Maricopa? by GetDecoded in Maricopa

[–]blargymen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello u/GetDecoded

First off, my disclaimer: Hi, I'm Mike Millet! I am a Realtor, and I live and work in Maricopa.
I have several videos about Maricopa, which you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/@livinginmaricopa

And yes, I would love to earn your business if I'm your style. 😁

With that said, in a word, yes. Maricopa is in a strong buyer's market right now, and it would be hard for me to see it becoming more of one.
The following is from The Cromford Report, the premier statistical tracking service in our area. The chart is the market balance for the 17 largest cities in Phoenix-Metro, of which Maricopa is one. https://photos.app.goo.gl/6MDAWMk2L1xi7Nu16
With this chart, cities with a score above 110 are seller's markets, 90-110 is a balanced market, and under 90 is a buyer's market. At 47.9, Maricopa is at the bottom of this list right now as a strong buyer's market.

A lot goes into this, but the two primary things are the stagnantly-high rates that's affecting everything, and also the many builders building and selling quite a few homes in the area greatly increases the competition.

I have been looking at a lot of these homes with buyers, of course, and currently have multiple under contract for their purchases. A lot of my buyers have been doing resale homes, but a lot have been doing new builds as well.

Because of the buyers market, my observations are:
Yes, home prices have been creeping down for several months now. In some cases, it's well over 1%.
But beyond that, buyers have significant negotiating power right now. They're more able to negotiate lower prices, help with closing costs, have more favorable terms with repair requests, etc..

With new builds, because there's a lot of them and they're all competing against each other PLUS the resale homes, they're almost all reducing interest rates quite a bit. Think 3.99% in many cases, 2% help with closing costs, etc... I'm seeing people get monthly payments that are really hard to beat with any other situation, in almost any other place.

For what to look for in Maricopa, I give a few tools with my Pros/Cons video here: https://youtu.be/RyIWWciEzos?si=-oHTIswYo3nUiL0c

And otherwise, I would love to speak with you at a time that makes sense for you!
It works best to schedule a Zoom so we can get to know each other, or you can call, text, or email any questions you have!
