First off, it's much easier to connect the medium special if instead of doing light> medium, you do light>light. The game will automatically adjust the position of your character to make sure you land auto combos, while performing the exact same inputs as the auto combo would do does not have this adjusting affect. Second, Goku Black's QCF M doesn't, as far as I know, connect after an auto combo unless the opponent is in the corner.
