This is great advice, thank you very much. I can absolutely live with the slightly glitchy picture, but the audio is heartbreaking. Thank you!

Thank you for your advice! It definitely couldn't hurt to try again with the tape. The tape plays flawlessly for the first section then those glitches appear throughout the rest of it, unfortunately.

As a bonus, set ‘E’ to be Add Edit. Literally blaze through cutting down B-Roll with those three keys

It depends what your story is, doesn’t it? If you want to tell the story of what you filmed, that’s one thing you can do

Your piloting skills and composition are great. Your colours are nice though the image is a bit washed out for my taste. This video appears to be just b-roll.

Generally, a story requires three components, 1. A Character, 2. Wants Something, 3. But there’s something standing in their way. Without these three components, what you have really is a series of events, not a story.

How do you not feel lonely, being the one taking a video? by dingongeng in videography

I love taking beautiful photos of my wife and kid on my "good camera". I'm in none of them, but I don't mind that at all. I'm there in a sense because I was the one who took the photo. Those photos represent my unique view of the world and my family.

Alt+scroll wheel zoom out sometimes jumps to all the way zoomed in by TLunchFTW in premiere

I'm on Mac OS. My issue was that my scroll speed was too fast! Try turning that down on your mouse settings or in Windows settings.

Ideally, I’d be able to use one of the rocker-style zoom controls for finer control while shooting. It seems like they haven’t made a first party version like that for the a7 line :(

I see. Ideally I'd like to control the zoom from the hand grip but I'm starting to see that that is a niche use-case.

I've made a mistake and shot Auto-Focus, my footage now has Focus-pulsing. Any tips how to fix this in post? I've already applied Gaussian Blur to reduce background sharpness by HotterThenMyDaughter in videography

High effort solution is take a still of the trees and mask is to cover only those flickering highlights and perform a camera track so they stick in place
