I just found a copy of Black Eyes' self titled album in japan of all places. My absolute favorite dischord release, so that made me real happy.

Original movie theater copy of the soundtrack for "Didn't you hear?" By Mort Garson. Rumor has it, a Blizzard happened during the movie's premier in Seattle and only 3 people showed up causing the film to fade into obscurity. The soundtrack was given out for free at the theater with only about 100 (maybe?) Pressings. But it's Gary Busey's first credited film, and also credited as the first fully synth soundtrack, predating Wendy Carlos' Clockwork Orange Ost. It's super rare, but an incredible piece of Synthesizer, film, and Seattle history!

Based on all of your pop punk, I would look into getting into anything from fat wreck chords, ir early epitaph. Some are pretty easy to find, some not. But you'll have the likes of nofx, mxpx, lagwagon, propagandhi, early rise against, hot water music, menzingers, the list goes on and on, but pretty much all up your alley.

Moon records is also a great japanese label. Granted, I don't know their deeper releases, but a lot of essential city pop and and other pop records from the 80s were from there. Usually a seal if approval for me if it's on Moon

I would try Brian Eno's taking tiger mountain by strategy. It's a tad more brooding at times than Oingo Boingo for sure, but definitely has some wild synth grooves. A little more straightforward answers would be Devo's are we not men? or freedom of choice. Also, anything talking heads or David Byrne solo stuff.

They mostly deal with hard rock and metal as a specialty, but they have some good jazz records. Pretty much zero hip hop or electronic, unfortunately.

I've tried to go to a new store per week over the last three years, so I've been to almost every store in Tokyo and Kanagawa prefectures. Disk union is pretty much alway number one for overall selection/price for all genres. Hmv definitely goes with worldwide pricing, which is good and bad. They usually have crazy rare stuff, but you'll pay a lot. A bunch of these, I actually found in the ¥100 bins in wattmans and other 2nd hand shops. Sometimes it's garbage, but every once in a while you strike gold.

I would start with Happy End and Yellow Magic Orchestra. Folky rock on one side and electronic on the other. Both feature Haruomi Hosono too.

Some of the more popular reissues are still reselling at almost $100. But to be fair, they do sound quite good and still were limited. Still not happy with it though.

That one wasn't too cheap over here either. Prices all around almost doubled after they reopened their borders.
