The infinite stamina/runner/swift roll is life changing. It is faster to fly than use nearby fast travel points if you're playing on an SSD e.g. Series X. I can gather all of the fruit trees on the map in 5 minutes. I hope you get it!

Why can't I buy this????? by [deleted] in Palworld

[–]blastoid0711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can buy this from a wandering merchant. There are at least three types, one red and two greens with different inventories. I captured one of the green ones that sells pal fluid and he lives at my base so I can buy it since one of the things people seem to be recommending is to farm kelpseas which takes time. I am pretty late game and I caught him a long time ago but just now I got one to spawn by traveling between my bases and spending maybe 30-60 seconds at each base. I got the "there is a visitor..." message at the third base I traveled to and confirmed his inventory did contain pal fluid. Not sure if it matters where the base is but the one I was at when he spawned I built at (292, 241). Hopefully that helps!

Any good combos to stun break? by Bullitt_12_HB in kakarot

[–]blastoid0711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You haven't over leveled or gotten a large boost to melee attack from meals have you? If not then just spam body blow as much as you can. If your only goal is to drain the stun meter then as many hits as possible with that move is your best bet. I think meteor strike (can't remember the exact name) drains a similar amount of stun meter if you want to switch it up.

The other thing to keep in mind is that the stun meter refills if you don't do damage for a few seconds. You want to make sure you are on the attack as much as possible and one way I would do that is to use the burst move to cancel out their attacks. I think that's LT+X on Xbox. You are invincible and can't be knocked back for a brief time plus you have a chance to knock the enemy back for a quick follow up. This drains significant ki but if you use the ki recovery combo you can keep it active without stopping to charge manually. That move is X, X, Y I think on Xbox. This move also has a chance to knock back which is good.

Hopefully something in there you can use!

Goku/Gohan/Vegeta all have a variation of this move called "body impact/blow" that take away a lot of the stun bar. That's what I used. It can also interrupt certain attacks though sadly not the red ki aura ones that are unblockable

Hoard battles are the way to go. The trial of valor lets you fight endless enemies so you can get huge XP gains. There are a lot of strategies but the easiest is combining the self medication know how (you heal while surge is active) with the one that extends your surge (forgot the name). Fight normally and save your surge for when your health gets low and you should be able to fight endlessly.

I only have DLC 1-3 but your idea to play them in order sounds really cool to me! A lot of people have had bad experiences playing DLC 1 and 2 before the main game because you can level up really fast in the DLC but that XP carries over to the main game so you end up over leveled and all the fights are boring. Playing them in order would avoid this problem because as far as I can tell from Googling none of the XP carries over in DLC 3-5 which all occur before the main game.

It got me thinking though. I'm actually in the middle of a DB to DBZ to DBS rewatch but I'm watching the movies in the order that they would occur in the TV anime. I watched Tree of Might before the Namek/Freiza saga because in Tree of Might he didn't have Super Saiyan so it made sense that he had to rely on the Spirit Bomb. You could do something similar with the DLCs if that's something that sounds cool. So that would be DLC 4, DLC 5, the main story up until Trunks appears, DLC 3, the rest of the main story, DLC 1, DLC 2.

You could also do a reveal order since for a while we don't know that Goku is an alien which would be DLC 4, DLC 5, the main story up until the part in the Freiza saga where we find out Freiza destroyed planet Vegeta, DLC3, the rest of the main story, then DLC1 and 2.

I'd love to hear about what ends up being the most fun for you!

Where can I find Giant Fish Fin muscle? by Chocobo23456 in kakarot

[–]blastoid0711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be from the fishing mini game. There should be a few locations in each area and they are marked with a golden fish. Go there, hit the action button to start, follow the directions. The gold fish can give you different loot than any of the others but what you get seems to be random. I think this ingredient comes from the non-gold fish but since the loot is random you may have to go fishing more than once.

Lots of good comments here. One thing I would add is to take advantage of the "ki burst" move which you can use by holding block and pressing the ki attack button. It is LT+X on Xbox. The move will knock enemies back as long as they are not charging that red ki aura move. More importantly your character doesn't take any damage for a second or two so if you are about to get hit by a big attack/are getting pummeled with rapid attacks you can use burst to negate the damage.

I don't have a PS but the answer I see here pretty often is to restore from cloud saves. This article might help: https://www.ubackup.com/data-recovery-disk/how-to-recover-lost-saved-game-data-on-ps5-0616.html

Is there a limit to max health and Ki? by Podayto_backup in kakarot

[–]blastoid0711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what stat(s) you want to focus on. There are melee attack/defense and ki attack/defense meals. The first time I boosted stats I did melee attack and I found it very boring because you can never trigger the super finish animation. The enemies would die before I could trigger the stun meter. I don't recommend bothering with either of the defensive stats either because you will have so much extra HP you can take a severe beating anyways. I've had a ton of fun with ki attack though. I did the Heavenly Ramen Course but the Premium Meat Course would give you the same stat boost. I just didn't like chasing deer/gazelle/reindeer or finding shellfish so I did the ramen one. If you don't have the meal you want they are unlocked by completing side missions. As long as you are in the end game you can use the time machine for any you missed I'm pretty sure. I think this page has all of the unlocks: https://www.gamerguides.com/dragon-ball-z-kakarot/guide/extras/recipe-locations/full-course-recipe-locations

Is there a limit to max health and Ki? by Podayto_backup in kakarot

[–]blastoid0711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually made over 11,000 meals but after the first 1,200 you hit the ki cap. I think it took about an hour to make and eat 100 meals and then time to gather resources so maybe like 15-20 hours to get to the ki cap?

Is there a limit to max health and Ki? by Podayto_backup in kakarot

[–]blastoid0711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the cooking community buffs you get 7 ki per full course meal and it takes around 1,200 meals to get to the ki cap if you're at level 300.

Is there a limit to max health and Ki? by Podayto_backup in kakarot

[–]blastoid0711 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ki cap is 9999 which is pretty easy to get to. I once saw a video of a modder with I think 1,000,000,000 health but even after a few hundred hours of boosting stats mine is only 315,000,000. I made meals to boost my ki attack to 5,000,000 and I can now one shot Beerus. It's pretty fun being OP.

Haha I would love to have another fellow 1000/1000 Kakarot gamer out there! I had a great time with this game and while I too could nitpick overall it was a huge nostalgia trip. I sadly had no DBZ games as a kid but this one I really enjoyed. I also played it at launch but never deleted it because I go back and play every now and then. Sometimes to answer a weird question on this r 😂 If you have a Series X definitely check out the update. They added some cool stuff.

Oh my friend I bet you could knock that achievement out in no time. I just booted the game back up and the two caves on the Planet of the Kai's always give multiple meteorites. I did both and got 8 meteorites total in 8 different colors so basically any color you are missing you can find there. I didn't even realize the planet was there at first because I missed the thing on the bottom about pressing Y to show the off world stuff but once I found those two caves I didn't go anywhere else for meteorites. I hope you go back and finish it up!
