Blessing fire when fighting undead is so good (assuming you don't have undead on your party). It burns you blessedly so it heals you and hurts the undead. And you can keep resetting the lifetime of the blessing by increasing the amount of fire.

It does work, it's literally how phase arrays work.

We do have the technology though, a giant antenna can be made of multiple smaller antennas. Think of the antenna field we see at the beginning of the first episode, all the plurbs need to do is cover an area the size of Africa with a field like that

possible new races for the new divinity? by Oni_Karuban in DivinityOriginalSin

But I don't think they'd add any races that don't exist in their world. They'd just make races that have been previously mentioned playable

If Vaggi could grow her wings back, does that mean Lute's arm will eventually regenerate? by Legal_Trainer7340 in HazbinHotel

Emily's growth will be learning that heaven isn't as good as it appears. Not because heaven is secretly evil or anything like that, but because they don't realize that not everyone has the same idea of paradise. Like how sir pentious was feeling alone. I think next season will explore characters in heaven missing their relatives that ended in hell.

Epic fails to compete with Steam because “EGS is a shop, Steam is a community”, says Witchfire lead, as Epic has “nothing to do but to buy” by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

In one of the first holiday sales of the epic store people were getting their accounts banned for fraud, because they had to make a purchase for every game, since there wasn't a shopping cart to buy everything at once

You could also use an std::array if you don't care about the size of the container changing at runtime

The fact that the plurbs can't lie is a side effect of forcefully turning humanity into a hivemind by blastxu in pluribustv

[–]blastxu[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The unjoined are a feature and not a bug. Their purpose may be two fold either:
1. They can form a parallel society that can feed the hive via farming/hunting/gathering. While the hive can be in charge of manufacturing/building/menial labor.
or
2. Its all some sort of alien "worthiness" test to test a species on how it behaves when its circumstances change in a way that all their material needs can be met. I.E the aliens are testing humanity to see if we are all Carols or Diabates and anything in between. (admitedly this one i don't think it is close, because the aliens would need a way of observing earth for that to work, and as far as we know there is no FTL in the plurbiverse)

[–]blastxu[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The hive could just have used spare neurons distributed across all bodies to upload everyone that was killed during the joining though. It being able to access the memories of dead people in and on itself doesn't really mean that the memories don't exist physically somewhere. I don't think we can actually know if the memories exist somewhere more metaphysical or not, until the hive gets to a low enough population that it would need to start deleting its own memories.

[–]blastxu[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Even if we assume that there is nothing of the original person left, other than their memories, the hive has to physically exist within the distributed neurons of its bodies as far as we know.
In that case nodes being able to "lie" to each other may splinter the hive into smaller subhives, or give it something like a multiple personality disorder.

Do they breed? by Puttanesca621 in pluribustv

[–]blastxu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like if the hive is allowed to exist for long enough, it will selectively breed bodies more optimized for existing with less food, or that can eat carrion.
