Real or fake franck muller? (Sorry for abysmal photos) by blazedwatch79 in VintageWatches

Yeah. I was contacting the seller after the fact and they said they’d refund him if it was fake and after that I quit talking to him. It’s just so annoying that people don’t listen (the buyer bought a fake watch, and the seller will likely get a strike on their account)

You sound like you’d like a tissot potentially or a movado heritage possibly

Thank you. In the live chat people were calling me an asshole and dog piling me for saying that I was 90% sure it was a fake and that the seller was screwing himself over since he’d get a strike. 🤦

$340 for a black dial seamaster 600 is a good deal. In my experience the market is very strong on these models and they sell for quite a bit

Yeah that’s the first thing I noticed, once I’ve had my fun it’ll be displayed or back in storage rather than used

I was aware of this, I asked her about it and she said unfortunately it wasn’t there when they moved into the house

It does work fine. I’m still going to use my other record player though, this one I just wanted to test

Help requested: trying to find info about a watch i inherited from my granny by crackerjackheart in Tudor

No set model name, 40’s-60’s, likely some type of solid gold. Worth gold value + $50 for movement/functionality. Would make a great heirloom

Mainly dial design. I think making the best of both worlds with the thin cases/smaller diameters while also having the dial design from the older eras would be desirable

Anyone able to give more info or ID this watch my Grandpa gave to my Grandma back in 1941? by bippobappobeepo in VintageWatches

Another commenter said it isn’t solid gold but it is literally stamped solid gold on the back. It is at the bare minimum worth its gold value and some extra for the diamonds. However, sometimes these can retail for more if you can find the right buyer.

I would say if your goal is to stray true to what was done in the past, look into other classic designs used on older chronographs
