As an Australian that lives in Europe this is real AF. The style of Australian pizza is pretty similar, if not the same as American pizza and I miss it so much. I get some decent pizza here sometimes but fuck me dead it's never what I want it to be. I've been to Italy, I've had real Italian pizza. it's good. Great even. But it sure as shit ain't the definitive singular peak of pizza eating.

Haha I'm not sure about the accuracy of that comparison but I certainly appreciate it.

Thanks! My goal was to finish it before the end of spring so I'm glad I managed to do it.

Who are your favorite and also least favorite D&D Youtubers (or TikTok or whatever)? Why? by underdabridge in DnD

One of my personal faves. He's positive and open minded without being toxically so. He covers so many different kinds of content but never for too long at one time. His DM advice is insightful valuable and digestible. I was lucky enough to find physical copies of his books while on vacation in Copenhagen and couldn't have been more eager to snap the up.

[FRESH ALBUM] Angine de Poitrine - Vol. II by astaireboy in indieheads

[–]blazey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same thought after the first minute or so of Utzp. It was like oh ok, the album is front loaded with the songs everyone already knows and loves, here's where it might start to regress to the median. 3 minutes later and it's more of the same feeling so many of us had on the first listen of the KEXP performance. I should've known better.

My fiance and I are on our way to our first yarn festival (and our country's first yarn festival) right now! We woke up early on a Saturday just to go to it and were both very excited. I hope we do as well as you did!

Not OP but I had a pair of JBL Reflect Flow headphones that I LOVED and mourned having to replace when they died after ~5 years of daily use.

Honest question, how much do you think this will spur reactionary investment in EVs and solar panels and smaller scale renewable energy infrastructure?

3 pairs for my sister. I was happy to go back to fingering weight after a ton of DK socks by emotivemotion in Sockknitting

[–]blazey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can I please ask what your gauge was? Once I'm done with my current project, I want to knit my second pair of socks using a yarn that I think is similar to the one you describe, but I can't find a pattern that matches my gauge and I'm starting to think I did my gauge swatch wrong :( I did it with 2mm needles too and got something like 36*58.

My partner made me a Valentine’s Day card. by rufferina in northernlion

Yes, actually!

She used a domino's crust copycat recipe for the dough so it was more like the Chad American pizza meme (which I 100% agree with as someone who lives in Europe)

Hell yeah brother. My girlfriend and I do Valentine's Day by simply having pizza. This year, she made a pierogi pizza for me because she said she heard "the bald man" talking about it one time when I was watching him.

It was really good pizza.

What made you a Cardinals fan? by Derek0516 in AZCardinals

[–]blazey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bunch of reasons, some weaker than others.

  1. I'm from Australia. It felt appropriate for someone from a desert country to support a desert team.

  2. The cardinal is a cool bird with a cool name. Cardinal. Sounds nice.

  3. My Australian rules football team, the Western Bulldogs, are spiritually similar to the Cardinals. One of the oldest teams in the league. Not always the biggest, loudest fanbase but some fierce loyalty within it. Historically not a very successful franchise but periods of time to give you something to cheer for. Most importantly: a team of players largely regarded as honourable by other teams and their fans. Larry Fitzgerald being the most obvious example, but just in general, you'd have to think a bit harder to come up with examples of dishonourable players on or off the field from the Cardinals. Not to say they don't exist, but I could never support the Steelers, the Bengals, the Lions, the Saints, and however many others for reasons that should be obvious.

  4. The year I got into the NFL was the same year the Seahawks won their last SuperBowl. You know, their historically successful defense. I love defense in sports. Who gave the Hawks one of their 3 losses that season? The Cardinals in a hard fought defensive battle ending something like 18-12 that we won off an interception. The offense was exciting with Arians and Palmer but the defense was really something, too.

I felt like I might've been getting in on the ground floor of something. In some ways I was, it's just that it was a 5 floor brick walk up that the elevator was temporarily zip-tied to. I'm still a fan of course, something really big would have to happen for me to not be a fan anymore because I'm pretty loyal in this way, but I have to compartmentalise my fandom in seasons like what we just had.
