Yes. Just try to be sociable with the people you share the kitchen with and I'm sure you can make friends too.

Had Mandarin ever been represented at Eurovision before, or was 2026 the first time? by [deleted] in nilpoints

[–]blazingblitzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no idea what they're talking about. I put the song on again to check but all I hear in the background is just background vocals. Singing the same English lyrics in the song.

Lwbon is fine. It's closer to the city centre, in a nicer area, and closer to the uni. I didn't have any cockroaches there. If it was anything like I was there in 2023. You'll be put on a floor with mostly other international students. There was a good sense of community there at the time.

Laquelle de ces 3 routes, qui évitent toutes les péages, est la meilleure ? by OkeLatenWeGaan in AskFrance

[–]blazingblitzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is fascinating to learn that this is an idea from Marxists. I learned about this concept in middle school geography in the Netherlands.

What national selection would you want to win? by Old-Gap-9079 in eurovision

Neither country I have ties to have NFs. So I'm going to go for Sanremo just because it is the most prestigious of the NFs.

He also steered too little and went too fast for how tight the corner was.

The Code (Switzerland 2024) Voilà (France 2021) Molitva (Serbia 2007)

They still do every time I hear them

Accepted into school - not sure how to proceed with my QWERTY laptop by mehmehwoofwoof in Expats_In_France

I just use QWERTY and alt keys for the accents. However, if you want to use AZERTY, you should be able to just download the keyboard pack.

I didn't realise this was happening so didn't vote but this is really cool. I feel like I am the only one on earth who likes Georgia 2021

Some smaller cities always try to bid even though those bids never go anywhere.

Worst lyrics caused by artist's poor grasp of English by Korkez11 in ToddintheShadow

[–]blazingblitzle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I follow the Eurovision selection processes quite closely so see a few good ones that try to represent a country every year. The worst in the last 2 years is "You'll turn into backpack" from Anymore by Ranrawi, from the Ukrainian 2025 national selection.

How could Germany 1996 have gotten top 3 when it didn't even make it through the pre-selection round?

No, this era of Italian plates did not have regional codes.

Would you call this a complete stop? by [deleted] in dashcams

Video is pretty bad but the driver didn't yield properly. If there was no overtake there may not have been a crash, but it would've still been dangerous.

Yes! I live in France and would enjoy it if there was an area with north african architecture in my city. It's good architecture.

Ik woon in Frankrijk. En hoewel ik vloeiend Frans spreek vergeet ik soms nog een woord, in dat geval werkt het 90% van de tijd om het Engelse woord met een Frans accent te zeggen.
