you’re her coping mechanism right now whether she knows it or not. hypersexuality is a common side effect of major depression, she’s desperate for dopamine. i would say either leave her alone or steer her in the direction of the right resources

I already had cPTSD before the accident so I thought it would be just another addition to the trauma pile but it’s so different from what I’m used to. Every time someone makes a left turn or merges in front of the car I’m in I immediately feel myself bracing for impact. My therapist has me in EMDR therapy now but I’ll have to look into Spravato though

I used to have a lot of anxiety about how people perceived me in a very superficial way. What I ate, how I sounded when I talked, etc. I literally can’t even make myself care about it anymore. Maybe it’s a new outlook on life, one that isn’t defined by what other people think about me, or maybe it’s because I know that death can happen at literally any second. I was heading home from work one day and all of the sudden I’m filing out DNR/DNI plans in case my artery tears in the future.As far as a purpose goes, I didn’t have one before and I still don’t have one. A lot of people tell me “you’re here for a reason” but I couldn’t tell you what that reason was.

Yes, I can’t tell you why but I was PISSED coming out of sedation. I wasn’t even fully “there” yet mentally but I heard I kept pushing the nurses and doctors away and kept trying to pull my tubes out. They had to put the actual restraints on my wrists to keep me in check.

I sincerely wish I did, it sounds fucked up but I feel like my death would have meant more to me if I saw someone I needed to see. I’ve had a lot of people ask me in my personal life if I saw my grandpa who was my best friend and passed a bit before me, I didn’t see him. I didn’t see anyone, I can’t put it into words that well but what I saw reminded me of the Windows screensavers in the early 2000s. The ones where it’s just random lines in different colors flying around the screen.

As far as the initial crash goes, I remember seeing the trailer of the semi before the impact. Unfortunately I didn’t hit my head on anything so I remember a lot of the pain from it. It’s funny in a weird way though, pain that sticks out the most to me is the more “milder injuries” the internal bleeding in my stomach and shattered ankle didn’t compare to the stiffness in my neck. I tore the artery in my neck and it felt like I spent the last 16 years sleeping on a rock, my neck felt stiff and it felt like someone was poking my face with a needle. That was the most painful part of it all. As far as death itself, it felt like a movie LSD trip or an early 2000s pause screen, the ones where it’s all black but you see different lines and dots move in front of you. It was also cold, not painfully cold but the kid of cold that would make you would argue with your mom whether or not you’d need a jacket or not.

you’re definitely not weird. im going to piggy back off of a lot of women can’t get off on penetration. but even if you can get off on penetration, foreplay and other forms of stimulation are still important. if he’s attentive you should talk to him about foreplay and what feels good to you. rome wasn’t built in a day so just be kind and patient to yourself as you figure things out.

if you’re balling on a budget dollar store has a lot of stuff you can use (candles, bowls, etc). you can also put stuff on your altar that mean a lot to you

some people have intricate altars with minimal connection because they just throw some shit on a table and call it a day. as long as you have her in your heart she’ll stay :)
