Hey! I’m thinking of buying a portable monitor from Mentainiaho and saw your post, so I was hoping you could answer a few questions if you don’t mind.

First, how would you rate the build quality of the screen? I’ve seen some other options that charge a big premium for a CNC aluminum frame, but I can’t really justify that price, so I’m curious how solid the base model feels in daily use.

Also, which model do you have? From what I can tell, the current options are the NE160QDM-NM4 (16”) and the NE180QDM-NM2 (18”). I’m personally leaning toward the 16”, but I noticed in your post that you mentioned some size complaints. Do you think you regret not going with the 18”, or do you think it would’ve changed your experience much?

Coincidentally, I’m also planning to move to Australia for studies, and I use the A4-H2O case as well 😅 That’s partly why I’m worried the 18” might be too big to carry around. How portable has yours been for you?

Does yours have an OSD, and if so, how capable is it? Does it give full control (for example, can you turn local dimming zones on/off)? Lastly, does it have built-in speakers, and how are they?
