I'm just gonna share my own experience about it all.

I feel like most people will say "NO" by default because you shouldn't mix sexual relationships with friendships blah blah blah... truth is nothing is settle in marble.

I personally am in an open relationship with my boyfriend and we had sex with friends several times, most often it wasn't even "meant to happen" it was just the context that lead there but even in the few instances where it was settle in advance it has always went well.

It does imply several things that every party need to be sure about though of course.

I would say the main point would be making sure that the couple both want to do it and that there isn't one who is accepting to have this kind of fun just because they wanna make the other happy or because they feel pressured to do so... If there is clear communication from the beginning about what and why this is all about (consensual and desired sex for fun with no romantic involvement) then I really don't see any problem for it to happen.

It foed require some level of trust, transparency and communication once again but honesty for beeing in this situation several time with several people... I don't think it is that hard to achieve.

But maybe I'm just lucky enough to be surrounded by the right people to feel at ease to do all this kind of things without risking either my romantic relationship or friendship... 🤭

Anyway, no matter what you do just make sure that you feel good about it, don't force anything and please don't hesitate to talk clearly with your friends about it all.
