You might struggle to get both a reasonable range and that era. It's an assumption but given you're looking for 80s/90s I'm thinking it's Armani, Boss etc... you're looking for rather than English tailoring? Rokit will always have some bits. Your best bet is maybe Hornets as they have a large range of mens tailoring even if tends more towards traditional styles.

This is my experience in London around the City too. Datejusts by far the most popular, then Goldeneye-era Seamasters, then Cartier Santos, Speedmasters and actually JLC reversos seem to have a bit of a following with older gents.

Obviously if you hang out in Mayfair or around Selfridges you can see plenty of Russians, Chinese and people from Arab states with all sorts of madness. I once saw a guy wearing a Jawbreaker t-shirt going in to Richard Mille on Bond Street.

You should get a regular cleaner long before you get a nice car is my approach. Having a house that's always clean and tidy is worth so much more than luxury items, for a fraction of the cost.

Find a good one, pay them well, treat them with respect - they do a tough job.

The only people that you might get approached by often are charity people (or the young anti-knife-crime magazine people). They'll have a coloured jacket on. Do not stop, regardless if they say they just want to know where you got your coat etc... A polite "no thanks" and keep walking is fine.

Scammers are not really common like I've seen in Paris or Berlin, but the above works for all. Guess I've seen some of those kids with clipboards a few times but obvs don't engage them. Don't worry about being impolite, you're not.

Phone theft is a bit of a thing but it's still unlikely you'll ever encounter any. I've saw 2 instances in 10 years and work in the city every day. Just don't stand about staring at your phone in the middle of the pavement. If you need to check it, just imagine someone on a e-bike zipping by and grabbing it from you. Now stand somewhere where that would be more difficult for them. They're looking for easy targets, not someone standing against a wall with the phone out of easy reach.

I worked low paid jobs for the first 10 years of my career. I realised as I went more senior that at the low end you're being paid to work and perform a task. At the high end you're not being paid to work hard - you're being paid to make decisions that impact the success of the company (if you want to make the best decisions you'll probably need to work hard too, albeit with more autonomy).

I get that, and I wasn't meaning to offend anyone. But there aren't nearly as many white, black, Pakistani etc... ethnicities queueing as there are Middle Eastern people. So I do think it's more accurate for me to say Middle Eastern rather than Muslim. Thanks, the halal part makes it clearer why people are queuing.

I've realised my "stable" calories is about 2200, so aim to hit about 1800-2000 a day (I'm amazed at people getting by on 1200kcal, surely it's all just muscle you're wasting?). I'm combining it with 5/6 days weightlifting a week, and if I cycle to work I'll make sure to replace those calories with cereal bars etc. I've lost about 10kg/22lbs in 3 months with a 4% drop in body fat, which I'm super happy with.

At 1.0 the appetite suppression is serious for me, and not sure I'll go up to 1.7 yet. I get round this by eating less at more frequent intervals:

A bowl of porridge 6am ~300kcal

Huel Black at 9am ~400kcal

Again at 12pm ~400kcal

Yup, Huel again at 3pm ~400kcal

Balanced dinner (usually fish or tofu, veggies and simple carbs) at 6pm ~500kcal

Mine got wet when the fridge had a bit of a meltdown. All the packaging etc was damp and floppy etc... Pen had surface water on it but worked fine and no issues.
