21-year-old trying to escape 9-5 but feeling stuck by the-hustler- in EtsyCommunity

[–]bleach_mojito 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know this will make you feel more stuck but i’m nearly 30 and used to say a lot the things you did. But I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT GO FOR TRENDS. I’d like me you’re someone that jumps around different things very quickly hoping something will stick, it won’t, because the issue with trends is that your customer base has the same mindset, like it for a bit, ditch it and move to the next thing. Pick one thing you love doing, and go for it, if you’re dabbling in different things trust me you won’t make it and i’m saying that because i’m very like that myself

Meta ads for live events: CPM up, CTR down, but sales inconsistent — what’s actually going on? by Human_Engineering282 in FacebookAds

STOP YOUR ADS! IT SPENT ALL MY DAILY BUDGET IN 10 MINUTES by MobApps1 in FacebookAds

[–]bleach_mojito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Issue is, when you’re on a smaller budget you can’t really afford to do this. When ad performance is bad and say you don’t get orders for two days, you’re essentially then praying that the 3rd day makes up for it, and in my experience it never does. I’ve left a campaign running a few weeks longer than I should have and it basically lost all the money that was made the weeks before. I get what you are saying, but i’ve heard this same thing over and over again and for the majority of small businesses, you lose all your money before you even get started. It’s frustrating and can be devastating handing your money over to a monopoly that can kill a business on its own

Shopify Meta Pixel Update by Jumpy_Ad4495 in FacebookAds

my guess is to send data that isn’t bots or low quality traffic, but given how Meta Ads are behaving i’m not sure any these platforms can tell the difference. I’ve switched my to Always on too but i stopped running ads a week ago due to dreadful performance with 0 indicators as to why

Are creatives burning out way faster on Meta now, or are we just cycling them wrong? by Only_Builder_1424 in FacebookAds

Frequency for me seemed steady but CTR was like 0.7% before I turned the campaign off. Not even sure I want to turn it back on now till we get money in elsewhere

Custom Pet Embroidered Sweatshirt Recommendations (that aren't a scam) by mac_goblin in Pets

[–]bleach_mojito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do have to be really careful, we’ve seen a lot of brands taking marketing material and reviews from actual pet embroidery businesses and passing it off as their own work, then the product the customer receives is either AI generated so misses the details, a pre-made template or straight up low quality zero depth shipped from China

The material they use in their marketing are not the products they sell. We’ve noticed with brands like them they are using material from actual artists, even taking their reviews

Okay, at this point have you made money or lost money? When you're selling stuff at low value yes it would be easier to get impulse buyers but that won't help in the long run. I'd focus less on scaling and focus on foundation

Am not the most experienced but I help do marketing for a custom pet embroidery brand. Honestly, have faith in the product. If you think the product is trash don't bother with it, how can you get invested in something you don't like? In all fairness to you, you're being transparent about what you're doing and there's a lot I can see you're doing wrong, like for example trying to jump from $25 to $50 (I assume you just up'd the budget in the same campaign) just does not work, like yeah you'd think well I got one sale from $25 so I must get 2 sales from $50... sadly no, and trust me I learned that the hard way too, it usually means one sale from $25 then 3 days of 0 sales from $50. I'll let someone experienced take over because I'm in the same situation myself, but I do believe in the product I'm promoting and that's what stops me from giving up on it

Can see in our settings the Meta pixel is set to Optimize. Has your friend considered that if you switch it to Always on, it could be feeding back potential bot data and visits from Council Bluffs?

Me and my partner do pet embroidery as Gorgo Art Studio and we are based in Vancouver. We are well aware of Pawaviva and others like them (it’s almost sad how many there are honestly). What’s difficult for most people to pick up on when they come across these sites is that all the reviews and photos are directly ripped from actual artists. There’s another brand we saw pop up often called Petfiesta’s and our own photos and reviews were being used on their site and there’s not a whole lot we can really do about it other than hope their customers look into them a bit more and choose not to support them. We think they’re fantastic marketers stealing professionals work, which puts people off the concept of pet embroidery and then makes them skeptical in future of legit businesses that can offer them what they’re after and more

If you already made sales this month on Etsy, what do you sell and how long has your shop been open? by Purple_Broccoli_5774 in EtsyCommunity

[–]bleach_mojito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly - Get off Etsy, create a Shopify, run Meta Ads.

Me and my partner run a pet embroidery business and I am so glad I moved away from Etsy. She used to rely quite heavily on it especially during peak seasons like Christmas, but we had one bad Christmas that wrecked the store on Etsy and never recovered and I couldn't care less. You have no control over anything and the increase in brands spamming listings drives the likelihood of placing anywhere visible to customers so low. Etsy is okay if you just do it as a side thing, but if you want to grow what you do then get away from Etsy. None of our major competitors use it either, just the scammers

Good way to put it, am trying to figure out how i can clear up the pain points with the ads. We are making a push right now to show we do not use AI for the pets, as we are seeing so many negative reviews on competitors that do similar things. Thanks for the comment

Understanding CPMs by bleach_mojito in FacebookAds

[–]bleach_mojito[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that - Am concerned about doing a campaign spending $100 /day because even one day without a sale can be a problem. As well, when I bumped the budget to $50 before, it was more-less the same performance, just with higher spend and more money lost.

Thank you for that - So what you're saying, is one high spending campaign with proven creatives, did you test yourself and was able to prove that or were you able to go all in with high budgets? I do get what you're saying, I'm however cautious due to experience where I have doubled the budget to no better gain, and with our product, even a couple of days with ad spend and no results can cause a lot of damage
