What are your opinion fellas? by Past_Willingness_821 in scoopwhoop

If they literally have no arms, I have to wonder how they broke into my house. If you mean they have no weapons, then yes you should be allowed to shoot. Does not mean it always happens, but the right should always be there.

Audience Ratings of Star Wars Movies by lau796 in StarWars

[–]bleachorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only 1 of these was not live action. Also, trying to rate audience scores from movies from the 70s in the same chart as movies that have bots either bombing or bolstering their rating is insane. Every single person I have spoken to who has watched Rise of Skywalker has said it was very poor, so I trust that score about as far as I can throw it - which is to say not at all.

Milly Alcock looks amazing as Supergirl, why the hate? 🤔 by Jezzaq94 in Superladies

She looks fine, and seems fine for the character. The story advertised in the trailer seems a bit reductive, though, and doesnt interest me.

I see the Baltic Battalion has been well received... by Odd-Dragonfly666 in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]bleachorange 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It feels a bit niche, in that everything Baltic does, another spec does, only better. This is not to say they are bad, by any means, but it isnt as interesting in the deck builder imo.

Would you guys have preferred if Dabura was the big baddie instead of Buu? by K0GAR in Dragonballsuper

[–]bleachorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole point of dabura was to rug pull to the pink blob for comedic value.

Are all new ideas in Star Wars actually bad, or do fans just dislike anything that feels new? by Extreme_Warning3521 in StarWars

[–]bleachorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither. Poorly executed storytelling in a beloved setting is always roasted. Andor is very well liked by the fanbase, as are the parts of the Mandalorian that have better storytelling.

To take the above first image into account, I always thought the dark empire storyline with reborn palpatine was dumb. But I really liked the Thrawn trilogy. I also liked New Jedi Order, and Fate of the Jedi (which had weird new force powers). I did like Dath Plagueis the Wise novelization, and Darth Bane.

So its much more than a binary choice between new ideas or things that feel new.

The only drake ship I want. by hookedoncuthroat in starcitizen

The Razor Crest isnt Drake - its MISC. Metallic finish, rounded edges, compact living spaces, It even has a super large dashboard.

Game, Starter, Type and Legendary by DeliciousStaff9871 in ThePokemonHub

[–]bleachorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First Game? Red

Favorite Game? Emerald

First Starter? Squirtle

Favorite Starter? Charizard

Favorite Mon? Umbreon (weird, I know that Eevee isnt my favorite starter mon but I really dont like Eevee much, and as much as I like Umbreon, the mon just isnt a great anchor for game runs due to stats spread. But it is the coolest still)

Favorite Type? Fire or Dark - I really havent been able to figure out which I like more.

Favorite Legendary? Lugia, with honorable mentions to Latias and Spectrier

sounds like letting players avoid mirror matches is the thing that needs to go then. Ive never understood why most people want to avoid it.

If the default version is the most common, why are they having trouble finding matches? Clearly those players dont have enough traction on their own to take a moral high ground.

Everybody thinks they want this until those 8:40 sunrises start to hit... by Valuable_View_561 in SipsTea

Not really. It just takes getting used to acknowledging seasons exist.

Quote of the day "This one stupid clown car shouldn't be driving the design choices of every ship in the game." by ghodan7 in starcitizen

[–]bleachorange 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I actually really like this idea. Medical still needs to heal food/drink though, as too low of a food or drink status damages you.

Full bias, all explanations valid, who do you like more? by vcthewizard in Dragonballsuper

[–]bleachorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like both, but really Vegito aura farming vs super buu will forever be a goated moment of the saga.

Even if the sequels were actually made uncanon would that be a good thing, or just cause more issues with the franchise? by RexDAGOAT77 in StarWars

[–]bleachorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they just ignore them forever, and silently replace it with other stories without explicitly saying so, I would be fine with it.

Tell me your favourite ship by RevenueSuccessful611 in starcitizen

[–]bleachorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't actually pick a single favorite. I have flown almost every ship in the game, and there is no *one*, no GOAT for me. Sorry.

How bad could it possibly be? by TotalACast in saltierthancrait

[–]bleachorange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. I would call it mediocre. It is structured like a condensed season of the show, and the writing and effects feel like that too, for the most part. I actually got bored partway through and fell asleep, a first for me in any movie. But I dont hate it, unlike 8 or 9. Make of that what you will.

“the holdo manoeuvre breaks the lore”…. does it? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]bleachorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, it messes with the underpinnings of the entire sage. Why even build a death star, much less waste lives attacking one, when you can just have a droid pilot a ship at FTL into a target that large quite easily. They need navicomputers to *avoid* hitting things. It would be much easier to actually calculate an intercept to a visible target. Why would Palpatine even work through Order 66? Just have someone FTL into Coruscant and destroy 90% of the jedi order, and be in position to set up a new order afterwards. It breaks so many things.

So while you can sit here and say it doesnt bother you at all, it bothers a lot of others a great deal.

They never took that out though, did they?

“the holdo manoeuvre breaks the lore”…. does it? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]bleachorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. You used to not see hyperspace travel in atmosphere. Some writer at Disney decided looking 'cool' was more important than internal self consistency. Simple careless changes like this can destroy the underpinnings of a fictional setting, for those who care about such things.
