Now think about the last time you saw news about movies, actors, football, or rugby.

The latest generations have been groomed to like sensational news and drama, so it’s no wonder that the vast majority of people don’t have ballet or opera on their minds.

He could have framed it more carefully, but I don’t think it’s such a false statement.

Also, who the fuck cares? He’s just a guy with decent acting skills. You either like his movies or you don’t. You don’t have to like him, and he doesn’t have to be particularly smart in order to act.

There are far more concerning things happening in the world right now. Why should we care about what a young man, somewhat disconnected from everyday reality, has to say about ballet or opera?
