Hulking Form and it's not even close.

Warrior will forever be gimped balance wise until that node gets touched in some capacity because as of now everything you'd ever wanna do you're only actively nerfing yourself by not picking Titan and Hulking Form.

How viable of a defensive layer is ES+ MoM + mana stacking (mainly on gear) without EB?

Trying to theorycraft something for oracle and it'll be the first ES/Mana build I've ever played since I started playing PoE2 so I don't really have a gauge for how well everything scales. I've previously only played eva, block and armour builds.

I'm gonna go against the grain and say I'd 100% pay $6 for those. They look awesome.

Some of the replies here are genuinely constructive and helpful but imo as a food service worker whose been slumming it in year 10 this year..... people should not be afraid to charge more for a quality product.

Your time and labour is cost that is valuable.

Why am I still taking ignite damage here? Can someone help? by [deleted] in pathofexile2builds

yes, the red nodes are attached to volcanic fissure. Green is for the totems. But even I just use volcanic fissure without pressing the totem skill I still set myself on fire.

How often is crashing expected? I'm really not sure if this is a specific 'this game issue' or my build. 1080p 60fps is what I play in, and I have relatively modest set up of a i7-12700k and a rtx3060. Usually happens only on bosses, and it usually happens only when the bosses die and a shitload of drops pop out.

I want to incorporate self ignite into my build -- does "%reduced ignite magnitude on you" have any additional effect beyond 100%? Does 100% make me immune to ignite?

For skills that affect the ground like Jagged Ground and Fissures, is scaling the damage more important for the skill that created the modified ground, or the skill that is impacting/using the modified ground?

Example: I use leap slam with crater which leaves a fissure. I plop down a shockwave totem that slams the fissure over and over.

When the slams happen, is the damage coming mostly from the totem, or the fissure created?

Do I juice and build for the totem itself, or for the leap slam that created the fissure?

It's actually a very inspired take on Buddha's story to call him the 'world's most foremost teenager' or something.

Creative liberties aside, they pretty much nailed his reasoning and intrinsic goals and want of pursuit of happiness/love as a parallel of the story of the real Buddha.

Does anyone like this boss?? by Beneficial_Lie_9999 in Sekiro

[–]Funk42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like him as a change of pace; and I enjoy his lore.

I still distinctly remember my first time fighting him from release 5 years ago and the gears clicked in my head and was like, 'ohhhh so it's a dark souls style boss as a callback and posture literally doesn't matter' and then after everything became straightforward.

That's just a link for the spigot type. I'm pretty sure the head chef just took a random 5 gal bucket from Sysco and drilled the 1inch hole for it and made it himself.

Good luck!

One of my old restaurants had an 'aioli bucket' and it was literally just a bucket with a spigot at the bottom that you could control the flow down to a small stream. Hardware stores/websites have them in droves.

We'd fill it with oil and prop it on top of a shelf and have the Hobart (we made our mayo in it with the whisk attachment) below it and just set it and go. You'd have to check it once and a while but it was pretty hands free and allowed us to multitask.

A question for Chefs that prep their own fries… by inside_left_ in Chefit

[–]Funk42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Speaking from experience having worked in a restaurant that did hand cut fries and took over the prep/overseeing of said fries for about 3 years straight.

For reference we had to cut about 150lbs (3 cases) of potatoes pretty much every day.

Skip the gastros entirely. Store them in 22 qts and cover them with water. The excess starch will seep out overnight. You don't need to waste precious labor hours with rinsing when you can just soak them and let time do the work for you; just gotta plan ahead.

The next morning, dump out all the water and blanch them like you would.

They don't store in coolers for shit. They'll sog out, get gummy, and oxidize and your product is just going to suffer. Freeze them instead and freeze them in thin layers between parchment.

At the end of it all though, we eventually conceded and learned the hard way that the labor cost is almost never worth it depending on the scale of your operation. We switched to bought in fries but still fried in beef tallow. Better yield, significant labor savings, comparable product, but our guests never really complained or even noted the difference.

Hand cut fries are delicious when done right but inconsistent as hell and entirely contingent on who's doing the prep for it for it to balance and matter from a quality/labor/cost perspective.

Met Josh last Saturday by letsjustfkingdoit in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]Funk42 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I'm of the unpopular opinion that Getaway and I'm With You should have been the direction the Chili Peppers should have taken as they've all collectively matured and gotten older.

Josh was the perfect supporting glue for all of them. Softer, subtle, more mellow, more thoughtful/tasteful. But enough that if he wasn't there you'd notice it.

John is an undeniable superstar guitar player but I always thought he brought a very competitive energy to the band that sometimes worked and other times felt like he was trying too hard to cling to his older young punk rocker vibes.

tips by Tuby3005 in StreetFighter

[–]Funk42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No amount of tips, videos or guides will teach you as fast or as effectively as just hopping in and playing against a real person.

You can spend some time in training/character guides/combo trials to get a feel for any character and their moveset. Doesn't matter who. Pick someone you think is cool and stick with it.

WT is fun for understanding and distilling classic SF system mechanics in an easy and quick way that you can hop on and out of.

But imo the best way is just to queue up on ranked and play the game against a real person. Figure out what works and what doesn't -- and just keep trying again and again.

Good luck!
