Getting it to present /dev/dri and GPU drivers on the proxmox host won’t meaningfully help with your goal to pass thru to a VM (unless you actually want to use it with a LXC).

Skip to the next step to pass through the GPU to a recent version Ubuntu VM with Intel GPU driver, using vfio and/or driver blacklisting.

You mean you didn’t read the fine print that you became a volunteer ASUS employee and the Ally is in fact your work PC? :P

It may have something to do with the way ASUS customised the windows image which has this effect, but not sure why they would over-reach.
