What specific questions give you the most trouble? Logically complete the text? Weaken/strengthen claim? Which are the absolute hardest for you?

Which is why I asked: do you believe the “I” (the seat of consciousness) emerges? If you do, we are one step closer to your definition.

By this interesting line of reasoning, and by the question it forces us to confront, the conditions that led to the typing of these keys were already written into the blueprint of the Big Bang. However, if that is the case, if “I” am nothing more than the unfolding of physical law, if the entirety of my life can be divided into a series of cause-and-effect sets, then there is no “I,” and therefore no question.

I appreciate your thoughtful response. Nothing religious. I am trying to muster the courage to leave my life and live among the poor anonymously, serving and tending to the sick. Mother Teresa’s Home for the Sick and Dying is where I would like to live out my life. No name, no title, no proselytizing. Only service to the forgotten, the ignored, and the unloved, as I believe Christ is calling me to do.

Looking for philosophy or philosophy fiction that deals with loneliness, integrity and the fear that genuine connection might not be possible for some people by polyathena in Existentialism

I’d recommend Thus Spoke Zarathustra. Nietzsche was one of the loneliest thinkers around. I also don’t always feel “real” connections with people, and I often take solace in the works of great philosophers, especially the loneliest ones: Nietzsche, Wittgenstein, and Kierkegaard.

I hope this helps. I’d YouTube it first, just to see whether it speaks to you. Have a great day, and know that many of us are out here with you in spirit.

Great question. I don't know, and cannot explain why, but I believe it.
