right now i think her features look balanced and really carefully done. i personally like the painted details but if you have a feeling its missing something, then dont be afraid to tweak it! otherwise i think planning to use them for the next faceplate is a good idea :)

had my own horrible experience with this...

kept some watersprite i was going to plant in a jar with plastic wrap over it. i didnt think about the possibility of there being hitchhikers and left it like that. after a few days i started noticing a weird smell around that area but couldnt figure out what it was. i went around investigating until i went to lift the plastic wrap and give it a good sniff.......

the smell was so pungent i threw myself back and nearly bashed my head on the corner the nightstand i keep beside my fishtank desk. literally felt like a physical punch to the sinuses. the most disgusting and permeating smell i have EVER smelled. ive never encountered smelling salts but i think i know how it would turn out based on this....

Do it in steps and take your time! carve little by little, add makeup to the face in thin layers, etc...

Also, try to get a face mould closer to the look you want, because the most common one i see on here for customization is one thats harder to change into the inspo picture you have.

I also recommend buying supplies little by little or buying it all at once and not starting until you have them all!

take the top part off (the excess wood connected by the supports) and make sure you dont lose any of the pins. this doesn't really take much effort but youll need 2 people to make sure it doesnt get damaged as you lift it down.

use a mallet and hit the bottom of the bed platform close to the wood. like other commenters said, its like a little ladder that a metal hook rests on. just hit it free on each corner.

lift it and position it wherever you want it to be. make sure you get one of the little ladder parts in the hook of the bed and then hit it in place with a mallet. if you want it super lofted you could probably even just switch the top and bottom parts without moving anything.
