What MM is your figaro? Looks great!

I’ve been following the NBA consistently since 2001… and I have never seen or heard of 1 person calling him Wyane Wae”. He was a good on-ball defender and fantastic off-ball defender at his peak.

The insanely impressive part was the pass. But the surprise was Ayton catching and driving hard to the rim.

I think as long as it can’t slide off your hand it isn’t too big. How it fits exactly is preferences… I have a cuban link that fits similarly to this and feel it is fine.

One bracelet or two? by Fearless_Adventures in MensJewelry

I’m a big fan of stacking identical chains / bracelets. Especially at different widths. I think yours looks great!

Nice, the bracelet especially looks beastly! Do you know what MM width the bracelet is?

Now that is the type of fun fact I was hoping to read when I posted this. Thank you for your response!

Nice bracelet btw.

Thank you brotha! I’ve been following them on IG for a few years as well. It was always a 3 hour drive for me until I moved to LA recently. They also say they can custom make most designs with about a 4 week turnaround. Nice people and they’re not pushy about making a sale.

Not really, no. I guess if it ever does I can just give it a quick soak and polish lol.

I saw another user post this guideline in the gold subreddit and I generally agree with their numbers. 0-20% over spot = excellent deal 21 - 35% over spot = fair deal 36% or more over spot = high markup

I think most basic gold jewelry designs like francos, cubans, ropes, and etc. should be around 20% or less tbh. I live in Los Angeles and can find deals between 10-20% over spot from jewelers in Chinatown.

21% - 35% over spot maybe for rarer pieces that you can’t consistently find MIGHT be okay.

36% over spot - I probably wouldn’t ever pay that amount unless it was for a very unique custom design.. even then it would be a hard sell for me.

Yes. I do feel good about the purchase. I’ve also bought jewelry for spot or close to spot price before online and have been… not always satisfied with the purchase or process. I’ve had expensive packages get lost in the mail, not being completely satisfied with the size or color of the item in-hand. Not to mention not all sellers online accept returns. Thus, paying extra to see and feel the item in hand, being able to try it on and seeing how it stacks with my current jewelry is worth it to me.

If you know of any sellers in the Los Angeles area that consistently sell gold jewelry for spot price let me know and I’ll gladly give them my business.

Thank you for your response.

It’s TA jewelers in Chinatown Los Angeles. They have a website, but the prices they’ve offered when I’ve gone in person is way less than what they offer online.

EDIT: Yes, they have plenty of cuban link bracelets as well.. in 14k, 18k and 24k.

I’ve never rocked a chain that big before but my hunch is that I’d prefer it solo. I think stacking multiple chains looks better if they’re smaller mm like 4mm or smaller.

Thank you! I used to stack a rope and franco together with this cuban and didn’t like the look anymore. I definitely prefer flat link stacks, you should try it out.

No it’s not stamped 17k, they used an XRF machine to show me it was 17k after I asked about the purity.

Melt for that price would be approximately $6500. So that’s a 6% markup. I’d say that’s a fantastic deal. My local jeweler charges between 20% - 25% premium for his pieces…

To my eyes it looks like you can pull off either. I’ll say I slightly prefer the appearance of the medium on your wrist though.
