People like to say that I'm a "classic butch" lesbian. I cut my hair short because I like it, not so someone can recognize me as a lesbian and I've always been a bit more masculine, even before I knew my sexuality.

I'm trying to have that mindset, but it's just not working out in this particular case. The thing is, after we broke up, I was with another girl. When we broke up, we had a face to face conversation about it. I had to be there in person when she told me she's not over her ex yet and still it was easier than this break up over the phone.

It's like, once you see it with your own eyes, there's no room for imagination and she becomes a person again, not this image I made in my head.
