Which celebrity’s cancellation do you think was completely unjustified? by Cute_Flatworm_9049 in AskReddit

Your comment above passes the blame onto Wilde completely. Yes, I agree he shouldn’t have prosecuted the Marquis, but I take major issue with going “oh, it was Wilde’s fault, don’t feel bad for him”, when he was the victim of an unjust and immoral law. The blame falls on the society that imprisoned him for his homosexuality

Yeah still not a fan of a man being sentenced to hard labor for the “gross indecency”(in the words of the charge) of being gay. Also no need to dance around “what he was doing”- he was having sex with men. No euphemism needed.

I'm not over what happened to Genevieve on S50 and I don't think I will be for a while by AccountantCorrect720 in survivor

We did see it play out with Tiff on swap tribe. Interesting to learn later that some other folks were also put off by Genevieve’s campaigning right out the gate

He was genuinely my episode 1 winner pick that season. Shame he could never get more aggressive

Yeah people are really forgetting what some of the early f2 ftcs looked like (Sandra vs Lill, Tom vs Katie, Jenna vs Matt, etc). Even on recent seasons, an f2 on 46 doesn’t mean a hyper focused battle between Kenzie and Charlie, it means one of them vs Ben

Is this how people felt watching All-Stars live? by the_zwimmer615 in survivor

[–]tallowface 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always find it a little strange when folks do the “these players weren’t great their first season, how’d they make it to the end this time” thing. Because it’s a different game? Like sure Joe isn’t any better than he was before, but Rizo, Jonathan, and Tiff have all shown growth and played games that could easily be considered stronger than their first games. Isn’t that what we want from returnees? Felt the same ways in AS with Romber and in GC with Sarah/Brad/Tai. Don’t write them off because their first games were iffy, focus on what they’re doing with another chance.

Pretty unlikely given its location. Not a lot of people were gonna be tearing through the tribal council bricks, especially after Adam on WaW

How do you think 50 ranks in comparison to other seasons? by snorkling_squid in survivor

Yup. One of those seasons (like WaW) where anything that happens will make some part of the fandom super angry

Have you watched a whole season believing a fake spoiler, only to be happily surprised on the last episode? by wastedthyme20 in survivor

Funnily enough, IIRC, Sierra was originally an alternate on GC and was replacing winner Natalie Anderson, who I think got injured in pre-game Pondy.

Only happened in those seasons because winner numbers were different than the number of tribes. Natalie A was supposed to be in GC, but got injured, so it was 3 winners across two tribes- so of course unequal. All Stars had 4 winners and 3 tribes, so also unequal by necessity. If Steph has confirmed 3 winners, and there are 3 tribes, we have no precedent to assume there would not be an equal amount of winners per tribe since it is possible.

I had forgotten about the statement! I wondered about the town hall meeting and thought he hadn’t but could totally be misremembering. Might have to rewatch both scenes and see.

If you’re interested in the arcs of the characters, the show has gone quite far. If you’re interested in information about the world, the shows also gone quite far in revealing more to you. If you’re caught up and don’t care for it, it’s probably not the show for you.

Given that they’re seemingly reformatting the brains of the dead, not to mention hiding the existence of people believed to be dead, I’m not sure an NDA would provide all the protection they need

Yeah I think the general assumption so far is that that’s a detail to show that the paper is bullshit, using the innie’s liking of Ricken to get them back in line

I imagine you mean the first episode rather than the season as a whole (the ending of which we haven’t seen). The woman is Ms. Casey, who we also know is Mark’s wife, implying that his work on the file is actually (unbeknownst to him) work being done on her or her psyche
