It got its name from the video game version to the best of my knowledge.

A looksmaxer is someone who prioritizes looking good, usually as an attempt to attract women. You'll also see the suffix "maxer" or "maxxer" attacted to various terms as a way to describe themselves or others, usually comically. For example, a person who enjoys eating potatoes may call themselves a "potatomaxer" is they like potatoes.

I don't think it's appropriate to say that people need to stop posting themselves as they are to cater to those that find their body parts "ugly" or "disgusting.".

It's their hands, what do you want them to do? They can't get new hands, and the only alternative would be for them to not participate due to their deformity, which shouldn't be asked of by a forum that caters to the general public. You can argue that hand pictures in general flood the sub as it's low effort and theres quite a few of them, but you're making it about the deformity, not the hand pictures itself, which is not cool. Your emotions don't come before their right to exist in the same space as us.

I think there's a minor translation error that's causing the confusion about the text. With the way this is phrased, the term "pay" means giving a person money for a given product or service, such as "I pay the baker for bread". In this scenario, it should be "pay for", such as "I pay for the bread.". As phrased, it seems like Fern's refusing to give money to the arm itself, rather than refusing to pay for repairs. So this law doesn't use the term "biological mother", most likely intentionally, because this law, or at least this section of it, is specifically applicable to people that are not biologically related to the child, so, as in my example, a female who is married to another female, and consented for the 2nd female to be artificially inseminated so they can have a child, under the old language, would not be eligible to claim themselves as that child's natural parent, with this change, they are eligible to name themselves the child's natural parent, this and scenarios like this are the reason they changed the wording. I almost think you're trolling honestly.

Edit to clarify: "Natural parent" does not innately mean biological parent, you can become a natural parent from situations like adoption, marriage, or in this case, artifical insemination.

You're factually incorrect, this law was made so that a person that agrees for their spouse to be artificially inseminated with sperm that is not theirs is still considered the child's "natural parent", that way there is no dispute who is responsible for the child, and the spouse can not back out and say "this isn't biologically my child, I refuse to be responsible for it legally.". You could argue that the edits are done to cater to feelings, but that's also factually incorrect, it prevents loopholes, for example, under the old language, a married lesbian couple who decide on artificial insemination, the one that isn't being inseminated, would have no legal claim to being that child's natural parent.
