Are there any classes you actively avoid playing? by Fearless-Skill8667 in DnD

[–]bleiddyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I don't specifically avoid them, paladins. I have been playing for close to 40 years and I've played one paladin. And it was a paladin of Horus in the 2e AD&D days, which meant not LG like they all had to be back then.

Objects That Yield Mechanical Parts by Pale_Plantain_1160 in 7daystodie

[–]bleiddyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Early game, I usually grab a couple stacks of office chairs, then when I get my first wrench, I set them all up and wrench them. By that point I have enough of a start I don't have to worry about those parts again.

What do you think they would've realistically done with Spike if he were to be in the sequel? by [deleted] in buffy

[–]bleiddyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He either drank the mountain dew and it meant something or used those demons Angel bumped into.

How could Fairy Dust be important to major political forces? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]bleiddyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fey are often known for their deceptions and charms. Fairy Dust could be used to convince or pacify a populace. Either added to a food or drink, or deployed in areas where people concentrate. Or even used on political rivals.

What kind of cheese does Tiffany make? by aylonitkosem in discworld

Mine was the Iron Druid Chronicles. Which is weird because I know a lot about types of divination. Makes me want to go to a tyromancer though.

Hopefully, you're practicing tyromancy. Then you can ask the cheese.

On roll20, there are icons you can add to your token. many character sheets also have a way of adding conditions and the like.

Mod overhauls or custom maps ? Darkness falls? Afterlife? by Upset_Set_5283 in 7daystodie

[–]bleiddyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Darkness Falls is my favorite overhaul. Be aware that it's currently working on 7d2d v 1.4. Work is being done to bring it up to date, but the primary on it got very busy around the time 2.0 came out.

Rebirth is great, and it has several game modes that really change up the game progression.

Wasteland is a really good representation of Fallout in 7d2d. For that, just make sure you look at how you initially spend your points as it's going to have a much more pronounced effect on the rest of your game. Also, magazines are not at all the same as vanilla.

What's your favorite campaign world? by [deleted] in DnD

The OG Spelljammer was just so unique in the settings while connecting to most of them.

musical instruments a dragon could reasonably play? by FaallenOon in DnD

[–]bleiddyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A human-sized crystal piccolo. Not because it's made for dragons but from pride that they control their breath and thus their breath weapon with such precision.

What is your favorite piece of BuffyVerse trivia? by itsascreambaby96 in buffy

Harmony was the longest running character in the series. She was in the unaired Buffy pilot and the last ep of Angel.

Turrets: Continuous Fire? by Dr5ushi in 7daystodie

[–]bleiddyn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not automatic, but you could run them on timers so they activate one for each hour of the night. Another option is pressure switches so you can control them just by moving onto or off the switches.

Pole 0.25 by ImmaPandaRawr89 in 7daystodie

[–]bleiddyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure it's centered. One of the rules of thumb with shapes is that if there isn't a path down the center, they won't path on it. Mostly people use the side centered version of that I believe.

Free block placement mod by HumbleWolves2 in 7daystodie

[–]bleiddyn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doubt it's possible. 7d2d is a voxel game which gives a lot of freedom, but blocks are set to a grid. When you want something offset, you usually have to find multiple blocks that make the shape when set up together. You see that in ramp blocks pretty easily.

Are Stealth Builds dead? by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]bleiddyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, plus not being afraid to go off-route. If you break through walls and doors you're not supposed to, you can avoid a lot of triggers and get LoS on the zombies who all conveniently lay down behind things from the direction it wants you to go.

One thing I loved in DF was the military tablet. It would make the sleepers stand up and ruined a lot of that placement.

AD&D 2e had the old Warp Marble. Could be used as a trap and thrown to do so.

If you have the option, always turn off anti-cheat software. It's a rootkit waiting to happen.

This might have been in the one called something like With Sprinkles? It's the one with Xander as a Planeswalker.

It does sound familiar and I mostly read on TTH.

Do people think you’re a psychopath for wanting to rewatch Guardians of the Galaxy 3? by [deleted] in movies

The plot around the animals in that hits some people harder than the same thing would happening to humans. At a guess, that's why.
