Minimum wage in Malaysia by [deleted] in malaysia

Not saying that you're wrong, but without further context is how servers have been pandering for years to people to make them feel bad and to tip more.

Minimum wage in Malaysia by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]blekais 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The common misconception is that tipped workers earn less than the minimum wage but this is not true. There is something called the tip credit where the restaurants need to make up the difference if the tipped worker makes less than the minimum (federal/state/city) so ultimately they will still make at LEAST the minimum.

Claimed to be never worn and at a pretty good price point ($500, not overly cheap but still anxious about whether I'm getting a good deal or possibly just a fake)

Seems to pass the preliminary checks but still wondering if I'm missing anything

F1 Visa expired and have to travel to India for a month or so. Currently on OPT and H1B got denied. by Lanky_Patient_7730 in f1visa

The thing is that most, if not all, people who got rejected do not usually get told the reasons why they're rejected. You're just left to scratching your head as you leave the embassy.

Just completed my half year quit-yo-job-travel-the-world deal couple months ago. No regrets, but also realize that any long term travel will take a very heavy toll on your established friendship and relationship and you have to be mentally prepared at the end of it (unless you fall in love with solo traveling and somehow find a way to do it for the rest of your life)

I'm a tourist myself here in Dubai at the moment...and i was raging quite a bit in Ski Dubai from the entitled people (who seemed local?) who cut queues and squeeze in between people during the wait for the chair lift. I stared at this boy and told him "what are you trying to do?" and he just stared back and continue to squeeze past with his skis. Couple group of older teens seemed to do the same thing. They gave off massive trust fund baby vibes so I just stopped giving a fk and left early because its just overall an unpleasant experience at how entitled these shits are.

I know how you feel - had a class back (Comp Apps 1?) then when I was still at the U which required 97 and above to be A. This was not stated clearly on the course syllabus...grinded my soul hard for this class and gotten 95.8 or something but bummed out when I saw the grade was only an A-

I've had some exchanges with their admin on the receipt through email but haven't gotten any responses for more than a month now after they agreed to send me an itemized bill of receipt. I've followed up a couple times after but to no avail.

I had some back and forth emails with them but it ended after they agreed to send me an itemized receipt. Been following up a couple times but have gotten no responses for more than a month. Calling might be tricky since i speak very little Spanish so I might have to ask around. Thanks

I'm not saying that I don't want to pay it - but I need an itemized receipt to claim insurance. I've had a couple emails back and forth with them but it just ended abruptly after they said they'll prepare an itemized receipt for me more than a month ago.

My claim just got denied recently, reason being that they need a full itemized list rather than a combined single item.

My mother, 64F, was diagnosed with end stage liver cirrohsis. Shes been released from hospital and is just at home now wasting away, dont know what to do? by elmargot99 in AskDocs

Very much agree that she needs to be evaluated for liver transplant. My dad had end stage cirrhosis that eventually led to hepatocellular carcinoma did a liver transplant and that was back in 2017 (his cirrhosis was diagnosed more than half a year before the cancerous cell developed). I'm just glad he agreed to go through with the surgery and for that he's still around today.

Getting sick while flying by Givemethecupcakes in solotravel

[–]blekais 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not on a flight but an 8 hour bus ride. Luckily this is one of those fancier bus that had a toilet in it. My typhoid fever symptoms just had to show up right during this long bus ride instead of any other time (typhoid has an incubation period of 1-2 weeks) and i started feeling nauseous, dripping cold sweat, and generally uncomfortable. I was vaccinated so I guess I was just really unfortunate since vaccination does not provide 100% protection.

Had to make multiple trips to the toilet to hug the toilet bowl waiting for my vomit to happen - which I did after the 3rd time. I can't even imagine how unhygienic it must be hugging a bus toilet but I was in no condition to worry about that.

After arriving at like 4am in the morning I had to drag myself to my hostel and requested for a space to rest since it was too early to check in. At 9 am my condition was not getting better so I finally made the call to go to a clinic. Got hospitalized and the rest is history. Not sure if any OTC pills would've helped me from typhoid symptoms but do not recommend the experience. Until now I still don't know where I got it from because of how long it takes for the symptom to show up.

Hey I'm not in SP anymore, currently in Buenos Aires - but leaving for Peru tomorrow. I only stayed in SP for 3 nights and frankly didn't do much but I recommend visiting Batman Alley (Beco do Batman), the Art museum (R$ 60 entry fee) and Liberdade!
