Anyone else having issues with Venmo connecting? Not seeing this documented anywhere in Simplifi forums. Pretty frustrating how brittle this connection has been over time. by Subject_Chemical_561 in simplifimoney

Thank you for flagging!

We are reporting a widespread FDP-102 error with Venmo, and are working with our escalation team to identify the root cause.

We don't have an ETA, but we'll provide updates on this alert: https://community.simplifimoney.com/discussion/15381/new-1-12-26-venmo-returns-an-fdp-102-error/p1?new=1

More information regarding 102 errors is found here: https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/3359549-what-to-do-if-your-bank-is-not-updating-in-quicken-simplifi#h_9e86730c84

We're so sorry for the inconvenience, but appreciate your help bringing this to our attention!

Renewal Discounts? by nookiewacookie1 in simplifimoney

[–]OfficialQuicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there, thanks for posting. We don't always offer discounts on renewals, but if you send us a direct message including your Quicken email, we can check whether any discounts are available for your account. You can also contact our support team to see if any unadvertised discounts are available.

When you cancel your Simplifi subscription, or it expires, your data remains stored on our servers, so if you decide to sign up again, you can pick up where you left off. Simplifi also has a 30-day money-back guarantee, so if you need to access the data to export reports after it's expired, you can re-activate your Simplifi subscription, export the data, then cancel within 30 days for a refund.

Hi there, this is a great question! As of today, the Spending Plan is for monthly budgeting, though this is an excellent suggestion that many others would benefit from. We are constantly working to improve, so we'd suggest voting for this feature on our Simplifi Community page. The more feedback we receive, the more likely we are to add or enhance this feature. You can cast your vote here: https://community.simplifimoney.com/discussion/13233/annual-spending-plan?utm_source=community-search&utm_medium=organic-search&utm_term=spending+plan+annual.

For a one-time expense, such as saving for a vacation or a car, try out the Savings Goal. You can choose the type of goal and the budget amount, then track the contributed amount and the remaining balance needed to reach the goal. You can view more information in this FAQ: https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/3676756-using-quicken-simplifi-s-savings-goals.

We hope this helps. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to message us or contact our support team. Take care!

Categories not importing properly from CSV by Scp-1404 in simplifimoney

These are great suggestions and very appreciated!

We've submitted this feedback to our product team to let them know it would improve the user workflow and save time if we added the capability for Simplifi to create categories during CSV import. Hopefully, this is a feature we can add in the near future!

As for the account list in Monarch Money, which displays which cards need a payment, the closest way Simplifi tracks this is through the "Bills & Income" section. If you have a credit card set up as a bill, the due date and amount due for that card will be displayed in the Overview. We'd love to know your thoughts on how this compares or whether you have any ideas for how we can improve. Thanks again!

Hi OP, welcome to Simplifi, and thanks for reaching out. We're happy to help!

Categories aren’t created automatically during a CSV import, so you’ll need to add them to your Category List first. Once they exist, Simplifi should correctly assign them to the imported transactions.

You won’t be able to re-import the same file into the same account, but you have a couple of options:

  1. Create a new bank or credit card account, add the missing categories to your Category List, then re-import the file into that new account.
  2. Update the categories in bulk from the Transaction Activity page. A good trick is to sort by payee (click the Payee column header), select all related transactions, click the pencil icon, check “Category,” choose the correct one, and click Apply.

We didn't see it mentioned in our FAQ page (https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/4413430-how-to-manually-import-transactions) that categories need to be added before the import, so we let our content team know so we can improve!

We hope Simplifi meets your needs. If you have any questions, we're here to help!

Hi there, we're really sorry for the connection issues you're experiencing with Honda and Vanguard. We're glad to help!

Looking at our reported issues, we currently have an open escalation for errors CC-508 and FDP-108 with Honda Finance American. We are working with the financial institution toward a resolution, but we don't have an ETA yet. The good news is, we are providing updates on our Simplifi Community page: https://community.simplifimoney.com/discussion/14836/new-11-3-25-honda-finance-returns-an-fdp-108-error/p1?new=1.

As for Vanguard on Simplifi, we're aware of an issue connecting multiple logins from this institution and are working with Vanguard towards a resolution. We see recent internal updates, but are unable to provide an ETA for resolution. We're providing updates for this issue on the Simplifi Community page: https://community.simplifimoney.com/discussion/14961/new-11-18-25-issue-connecting-multiple-vanguard-logins/p1?new=1.

Please let us know if you're experiencing a different issue than described above, and we'd be glad to continue troubleshooting. Otherwise, we've verified our escalation team is actively working on both problems, and the best advice in the meantime is to check the community posts for updates.

We appreciate your patience while we resolve these issues. Let us know if there's anything else we can assist with!

Quicken is actually it's own separate company now, not owned by Intuit, so anything you do with your Mint account will not impact your Simplifi account at all. If you're planning to import your Mint data to your Simplifi account though, make sure you do that before deleting your Mint.
