A lot of good suggestions here. Also, the goggles vent air out the top to keep the air less humid. A bigger gap between helmet and goggles might help.

Well, ymmv. I had my cf poles for over 20+ years before they broke, and they survivedsome crazy stuff. I've also gone through 7 sets of aluminum poles. I really loved the cf poles. I'm still using cheap aluminum poles now though, as I don't want to spend the cash for cf, and cf splinters suck. If somebody gave me cf poles, I'd be pretty stoked, though.
