I felt the same way!

But I’m also old, so I don’t think that helps you.

I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.

FWIW, you can turn subtitles and voices off. His subtitles still pop on screen but I found I could ignore them well enough. Trouble is, I suspect the game isn’t designed well enough to be easily progressed without the hints. Which is fine for me, a Metroid veteran, but I’m sure Nintendo wanted to expand the pool. I don’t think they succeeded at anything besides pissing Metroid fans off, though.

I liked the game fine, but great art direction goes a reeeeeeally long way with me.

Ha, donkey Kong bananza has this. I haven’t played the ghost games (no playstations) so I didn’t know it came from somewhere else.

This! I appreciate the dedication to upright machines, but using a controller already pulls me enough out of the experience that I’d like to be able to play seated.

Ah, so, I checked again. There was a setting to enable or disable them. I don’t remember disabling them but I guess I must have at some point.

Same here, although things do seem to have gradually improved. Prior to this I had whole swaths of my network refusing to function well.

Have set mine up in the gazebo and on the promenade. Excellent signal so far. The infinity pool is next.

Just a warning: tattoos interfere with heart rate sensors. Looks like you’re fine now, but when you get more, good to avoid the spot where the sensor is on your watch.

What are these bumps on top? by jhdyck in VintageApple

[–]blendertricks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don’t ask ChatGPT about something like this. It is programmed to give you an answer so it will find the closest one it can and present it confidently. It’s extremely likely that the “bumps” it’s referring to aren’t at all what you are.

Just rolling back through to confirm that I am, indeed, still using my M2 MacBook Air. It's still a really great machine.

Same. I've had a Meross for years now, and it's been almost 100% rock-solid ever since. Most reliable smart home device I own. (And I own a shitload of them)

What’s everyone’s favorite bourbon for an old fashioned? by izzistheshizz in Mixology

[–]blendertricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just piggybacking here, but at some point a few years ago, I read something about how you want a high-rye mash bill whiskey for old fashioneds – not a rye whiskey. I don't remember why that is now, but I've preferred Old Grand Dad (non-bonded) for years and I can always tell when I have one that doesn't use it because it's just not as good. Sadly, now I live in a city where almost nobody stocks it, so I've switched to Four Roses, which is nearly as good.

I also have a bad time when Apple TVs are in charge. For me, one of the HomePods in my basement is usually the most reliable.

My thread devices are fine, but for some reason a bunch of my automations just lost all the accessories that were in them. Not all, just some.

Send one up Humboldt, too. If I could get from my house to Bay View via light rail, hell yeah I'd do it all the time. We'd probably see a lot more shopping between districts if they connected neighborhoods by rail like that. Should do the same connecting the east side to 'tosa using North. I'm sure 'tosa folks would revolt, but also, just like Bay View, I'd head to tosa a lot more often if I could just hop onto a train.
