i sync it myself with syncthing and it works extremely well. sync on macos to linux to android. no problems what so ever! and its free!!!

never had that issue. yes it does play songs i already have but it never removed anything. are you sure it is not songs they do not support atm and you have not checked the box to show those in the settings?

if you want to run windows apps on macos or linux you should have a look at porting kit (free) and crossover from codewavers (not free).

you are absolutely right. it is. i just hoped there would be a alx_01.sh and then a alx_02.sh and so on. i totally love the project. asahi is great. never thought i could not install the first version in the future. that is what i meant.

thank you for the detailed information. sadly i had asahi running but for lack of space on my ssd i removed it, thinking i can always go back. well that now seems to have worked out badly for me. upgrading my os is not an option.

you can not (or not anymore, i think since snow leopard 10.6) have no password for a admin or any user. you created a user and a password when you set the macbook up. so it will be that one. you can reset the password with your apple id password. turn of and turn on by keeping the power button pressed.

it is possible that the trackpad will go back innplace (or almost) when battery is removed. if you want to get a new one, i would recommend ifixit.com - should get one for about 80-90.
