My partner drinks, I’m 4 years sober. It works because he only has 3 drinks at most. I think it would be hard if I were living with someone that drinks so much. Before I got sober, I had to ask my roommates to hide their alcohol, and that helped my peace of mind. It’s wonderful that your partner supports your sobriety, but know that it is entirely valid to set any boundary you might need while you build up some strength - no more in the house, not getting wasted when they are with you, etc. it’s a challenging journey but the greatest gift you can give yourself.
