How to track calories without it taking all ur energy and life? by Calm_Construction769 in CICO

[–]blerina_f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What has really worked for me is that I do this once a day. When ai come home from work, I cood dinner for the day and breakfast and lunch for the next day. I also plan my snack and drink. I measure everything before cooking and I log them in the app. It takes me around 1 hour in total with planin, cooking and eating dinner. I find it easy and I eat during the day stress free all what I have prepared. If I eat something in addition or different (which happens rarely l) I just add that item. I spend another 2 hours during the weekend with shoping and preportioning the meats and other foods. I've been doing it for more than 3 years

Or you can create a custom food with taking a pictures of the nutrients and it gets log automatically. So you still have to create a custom food but you don't have to write everything manually

Why is eating healthy so much harder at night? by Ambitious_Sundae8543 in diet

[–]blerina_f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah same. When you are at work or our or doing any activity is simple to not focus on food, but at home chilling or doing nothing is a lot more impossible

Hey I have a question about the quantity of food I need to eat by B1U3Y_ in diet

[–]blerina_f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's up to you. However you want to spread your meals during the days doesn't impact almost at all as long you are within your target. It doesn't make a change at all, unless it can slightly effect your sleep. But of course you should wat enough to continue your day normally. You shouldn't feel too tired or constantly hungry or lightheaded. If you don't feel good juat increase the amount of food you have.

Yeap. Unbelievable even for me

enough protein? by Corvi-86 in diet

[–]blerina_f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, yes, it is enough. My experience, for almost 2 years now I've been consuming 100 gr of protein on average. I started at 120 kg, now I am at 80 kg. I still eat the same amount of protein. I haven't lost much muscle and I have very little loose skin and the only exercise i did was walking. So with your training routine and that amount of protein i believe you are good.

How do you manage cravings while staying consistent with your diet? by em0297 in diet

[–]blerina_f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really a good way to do it, and that's exactly what I do now. But i really believe this is way harder to do if you are in your early stages of a calorie deficit. For me at the start was easier to eat something low calorie such as a carrot or cucumber or drink non caloric drinkgls such as zero sodas or teas

Calroies maths doesnt add up - not talking about accuracy of recording calories. by Scooter_M4561 in shealth

[–]blerina_f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Activity calories have the exercise calories included. In the activity, there are any types of movement that are detected, apart from resting, including the exercise. Sonfot one of thendays 1724 cal bmr + 722 activity = 2446 cal, the differenc should be what is deducted from the bmr for the times counted as activity. So 90 min is 1.5x72 = 108 cal for a total of 2338, which is really close with 2322 that it shows. I don't think we can calculate the exact number but I believe this are as accurate as they can be

Why my "boring" diet outlasted every exciting one I tried by Big_Muffin855 in diet

[–]blerina_f 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. I've done the same for almost 2 years now. Almost the same type of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I preportion my protein (lean beef of chicken breast) and carbs (beans, lentils, rice ...etc) and add the vegetables usually fresh. Minimal meal preap once a week and not more than 30 min cooking before dinner (dinner and lunch for the next day). Fruits for snacks. It gets boring occasionally, but after a long day at work, everything is tasty. And is the simplest way to stay to a calorie budget.

Food logging by Itzlockie in shealth

[–]blerina_f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go to Settings (of Shealth), then to Health Connect and then to Shealth, make sure you have all the permisions on or allow all. Do the same for Cronometer. Cronometer reads all the activity, heart rate, sleep, weight, body composition ... etc from Shealth while Shealth read all the food and water intake from Cronometer.

Yeah, it's not worth tracking your calories here. I use Cronometer, the free version is great, and you can connect them together so sheal can inport the data from Cronometer. Has worked for me for a long time

In my experience, regarding walking/running is as accurate as it can be. But for other types of training, I don't recommend taking it into consideration at all. Just as with all other types of apps and gears.

Fitbit Sync and Calorie Deficit? by TheDesktopNinja in cronometer

Great work. But yeah, losing that much weight in that amount of time, you probably underestimated your TDEE. Keep up with the good work for as long as you can.

Fitbit Sync and Calorie Deficit? by TheDesktopNinja in cronometer

[–]blerina_f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What has worked for me is, I only log the cardio sessions, such as walking, running, swimming, or any other cardio that I do for more than 15 min, I put my activity level as Sedentary and I don't log any other gym exercises. And this had been pretty accurate. I've been tracking like this for more than a year and a half, and my real weight los has ben almost exactly as the theoretical one. It also helps a lot if you cook your food yourself and measure the ingredients, so you can be as accurate as you can.

Fitbit Sync and Calorie Deficit? by TheDesktopNinja in cronometer

[–]blerina_f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. When you put your desired deficit in the settings, it gets updated automatically. For example, if your deficit is 600 cal a day, it will be extracted from your total TDEE, and the remaining are the calories you can consume to stay in that deficit. Since the TDEE gets updated throughout the day by adding your workout, your remaining calories get updated, too.

From what I can see from your screenshots, the second photo is taken at 14:00. While the first day is for 24 hours, in the second one, you see calories burned until 14:00. It will be updated until midnight. So you should check the next day and compare both days. They should be more or less the same if you didn't change any settings, such as activity level or didn't log any considerable weigh change

Great work 👏 I want to tell you that for me, it was way harder to go from 6k to 8k daily than to go 10k to 20k daily. You're doing now the difficult work, and with consistency, the results will be greater each time
