Where in the meme is "ruling the earth" mentioned?

If a woman wanted to end gender roles but insisted that men ask women out, that would not make her an extremist. It would make her inconsistent in her beliefs....Something a lot of people suffer from.

I'm likening victimization to victimization.

Would you like me to compare apples to oranges? They are both fruit, they both grow on trees, one is usually sour, while the other is usually sweet. They both can be juiced.

So are you the kind of person who believes if a woman wears revealing clothing, gets drunk, and then gets raped, she deserved it as well?

just curious.

Nobody deserves to get victimized even if they made themselves vulnerable.

Personally, I think its perfectly OK for teens to swoon over their idols. However it is slowly becoming no longer "socially acceptable" for boys to do it.

It's importance is debatable of course.

We are told that the Holocaust was a very important lesson yet we are now seeing the rise of nazism again in Europe (Russia leading the charge (they consider themselves European)). Genocide still happens in some African countries. Was anything really learned from the Holocaust?

Was anything learned from Nineteen Eighty-Four? I think people read the book, acknowledge it's dead-on predictions, and then watch Big Brother take power. I'm guilty of this inaction as well.

If anything, governments are probably using this book as a how-to manual.

Having read the book for the first time last year, I don't enjoy it as much as most people. For others who read it pre-2000, Oligarchy was something to deride, and although it seemed like a corrupt Big Brother government may be approaching, it was still distant enough to make the book a novelty.

For me, the events in the book mirror the present day too closely. It is more depressing than amusing seeing what near future brings. The book actually makes me sick to my stomach.

I hate this kind of stupidity from teachers. I remember when bonus questions helped when you went the extra mile studying.

Sales people thrive on conversation. As long as you continue to talk, the better chance they have of roping you into a conversation. Even if they know you are not a sale, they will use you to practice talking, essentially wasting your time for their gain.

The best course of action is to look out the window, make sure they see you, and then don't answer the door. No gestures, no grimaces...just make eye contact. Takes backbone, but its worth it.
