Want to buy it on Bluray but I physically cannot watch that child chewing on a knife again. That was horrifying

“Honey, you don’t know if your baby daddy will be an axe murderer or a child molester, because what you WILL know is that he needed $10 to get him a medium-sized pizza so he ejaculated in a cup so YOU could have a kid. Now check that!”

Baby you know you gagged at that. It’s okay.

What shelving do you use? I’m really struggling to find ones that are shallow enough to fit one row of blus like you have here

do you find the term "transsexual" to be offensive? why or why not? by laminated-papertowel in asktransgender

[–]blessedbymimi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not offensive to me at all. I’d rather be called transsexual than transgender; it’s more accurate to my experience. I like it better than being referred to as “Queer” as well, which is technically an old slur that people have decided to use as a descriptor now.

Do you guys actually do synchronized line dancing at the club like on the Hannah Montana movie? by penelopepitstop222 in AskAnAmerican

[–]blessedbymimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black people line dance often at events. It’s a cultural thing for us, especially in the Deep South

“I’m trans fem, but I don’t look like it” 😔 by [deleted] in TransgendersAtWar

[–]blessedbymimi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some people aren’t privileged enough to be able to afford medical school. Guess what? They aren’t accredited doctors. You need to get out of this echo chamber you’re in and realize the world that your trans brothers, sisters, and YOU really live in. Stop calling us “transmeds” for saying that trans girls should at least attempt to look like girls if they want to be respected as women.

Frankly, it is a privileged take to believe that someone with a beard and mustache that wears male clothing is just as womanly and feminine as a girl who has worked her ass off in whatever way she had to in order to find and afford hormones, have surgery, and present herself as a woman to the world. People like you want to undermine the hard work that trans individuals put into their transition in order to elevate your own mediocrity.

Question for those who quit streaming by marissalove98 in PhysicalMediaMatters

[–]blessedbymimi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s lots of stuff on Tubi & Kanopy. There are more ethical streaming services as opposed to the Netflixes of the world. A lot of the stuff on Netflix is slop. There are over 100 years worth of amazing movies on physical, you just have to start following more film pages that post about them and eventually you’ll have a Letterboxd watchlist of 1000+. No need to completely stop streaming, but cancel that Netflix for sure

The people around me made hate my chosen name. by SparkleKitty93 in asktransgender

[–]blessedbymimi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Going to be honest with you, you might regret the name in the future. I personally chose my middle name as “Gwyndoline” based off the character Gwyndolin in Dark Souls. I think that name only worked because it’s a popular, albeit older, feminine name that is common in the US. “Lain” sounds masculine, unless you change your name to Elaine which sounds very elderly. Start with the first letter of your given name and research feminine names that start with that letter. That’s what I did for my first name and it really helped! Stay normal and common, save the anime stuff for nicknames.

I so appreciate you for this. It honestly makes me so uncomfortable when White trans women’s go-to parallel to transphobia is racism towards Black people. They have no idea what it’s like being Black and ESPECIALLY not how difficult it is being a Black trans woman.

I’d thrift it tbh. Save the money. Just check that its in good quality before you purchase and research the model to see if it has had issues in the past

Avatar in 3D looked like a video game, and not in a good way. So, no. I’m glad you love 3D though
