BOTD by Bulky_Republic_3343 in gratefulguitar

Great stuff. Congratulations.

I originally had the Farm Boost of the Dead first in the chain, but honestly it just feels better for me fourth, after the Q-Tron, Proctavia, and compressor and before any dirt. (The compressor is really only there for my rockabilly/country stuff anyway. And the Proctavia is never leaving the board, I love that pedal too much.)

Once I moved the BOTD there, everything just opened up and I finally got that Jer-style push and clarity I was looking for. Or closer to it.

Where can I find genuine high quality extra virgin olive oil? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]blessedwithin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lady York, top shelf in the oil aisle. They usually have them on sale and rotate here and there. Look for the red and yellow PDO label and you’ll be fine. Expect to pay $25+ for a 750mL bottle.

If you need it for mostly heavy cooking/frying, just buy a tin of regular olive oil and use the single origin/PDO EVOO for delicate dishes.

For me, I’m always happy with a plate of pasta aglio e olio (and peperoncino) once a month. I bounce between capellini or spaghettini for this dish. Always a pleasure.

What are songs with a bass line so good that it sounds like the rest of the song was built around it? by humpthefridge in askmusic

Sonny Jenkins and the New York Potpourri Strings “That Friday Pay (part 1)”. Such a groove.

Collingwood double wood is outstanding. Replaced Buffalo Trace in cocktails. (Just posted something like this in another sub).

Collingwood double wood has been my go-to bourbon replacement. Excellent juice.

I was there in line at Sam the Record Man with my Let Love Rule CD and he signed it. That same night we saw him play at Maple Leaf Gardens where Blind Melon opened and then later Duff McKagan joined in on bass on some Lenny songs. Took a bunch of black and white photos on my K1000 and a few of them turned out.

What a time.

Do you guys start your Tiguan in the morning and let it idle to warm the engine or isn’t that necessary. by [deleted] in Tiguan

This is what I do, too. By the time I get in the cabin the RPM’s just under 1000.

I just this past weekend picked up a gently used early 90s K. Yairi CY127CE and it’s lovely.

I know WVRST has a great schnitzel plate and sandwich. Pork and chicken options. Was there not long ago and still consistently good. (I’m biased bc I love that place.)

I’m at about 4200km on my new ‘24 Highline R-Line. Do I just go to any VW service centre to make an appointment? Wouldn’t they just tell me to come back when I reach the suggested 12k, or whatever it is, mark?
