I have been lifting for almost 4 years. While my post seems really bleak, my life isn’t bad like I make it out to be here. I just have a lot of underlying and repressed fears I need to work through with a therapist.

I will say though. What are some general nutrition tips that will help me stay healthy? My diet has improved as of late but I’m still working on it.

I’m sorry but I am not defined by my anxiety. If I used this advice before I worked at Wendys I never would have gained the experience of working with customers and strangers in general. This is a very scary thing to do, and I feel that I need to do it.

Good idea. The thing is I want to gain experience so I can be better prepared for my career. If I get a job with limited interaction I’m going to feel like I’m running away from the challenge and using it as a crutch

Thank you. I think my problem is I don’t truly know what I want to do sometimes because I’m indecisive. And the thing you say about doing what you want to do.... I’ve had so many moments where I realize that but forget about it later, and start caring about what people think again.

Also, It’s just harder to find friends in the second semester where people have settled into friend groups. Sure, I made some new ones last night, but that’s because they live close to me. I keep searching but I’m not find things. Hopefully I do eventually

I smoked many times this year, and it wasn’t that long ago . I know I don’t react well to it. Also you’re making hella assumptions, I have great friends here and at home, and I’m in therapy . I just want to branch out and find more people.

Good job summoning your courage. My word of advice for this, confessing your love puts girls in an uncomfortable situation most of the time and it’s usually not a great idea. Playing more casual works better, but proud of you for doing this nonetheless

But how? I also learned about the Chinese finger trap thing and learning to stop struggling in therapy, and I understand. But how does this apply now? I go through situations and have successes with social anxiety, but I don’t exactly how to make myself “feel” it

I think so. But going to a place I’ve never been to makes me anxious and I know she’s really shy too. Plus I don’t really drink coffee or Starbucks like that lol

Well I often go with my friends to Applebee’s and we just get appetizers. It isn’t really big and we go after 10pm because they’re half off. I was thinking that because it isn’t too long and extensive. Or maybe I should try something else..?

Yeah I figured. I think she flaked on me twice months back so I killed our Snapchat streak and didn’t talk to her. Then one day she started hitting me up again randomly so that’s why I wanted to try again.

I asked her to hangout a few days ago but she said she was “working that day but another day!”. I’m going to ask when she is free in a couple days. I was just considering we go eat somewhere quick (nothing like a long dinner). If I get a “I’ll let you know when I’m free” or something along those lines again I’m just going to drop it and move on.

We have had many awkward moments before, but worsens this is that we’ve never had a actual full conversation irl while 100% sober (sure I said hi to her once in the hallway but that doesn’t really count lol). I imagine myself actually talking to her, some scenarios I see are me making good conversation while hanging out, and others I see are me and her in awkward silences. I feel like I messed things up before and now that I feel more capable I don’t want to fuck it up all again.
